MATCHMerseyside derby stats: Liverpool aiming for 100th win over Everton
Wednesday’s encounter is the 244th Merseyside derby across all competitions.

Liverpool are aiming to reach a century of victories over their neighbours, having beaten the Blues 99 times to date. Everton have recorded 67 wins and there have been 77 draws.

This will be Jürgen Klopp’s final Merseyside derby in charge of Liverpool. He’s won nine of his 16 previous league meetings with Everton (six draws, one defeat). No Reds manager has ever won as many as 10 league Merseyside derbies.

Klopp could also become just the second Liverpool boss to win both his first and last league clashes with Everton, after Sir Kenny Dalglish.

The Reds have lost just one of their last 26 Premier League games against Everton (12 wins, 13 draws), winning four of the last five and keeping a clean sheet in each of the last four.
 
Liverpool had direct contact with Arne Slot as candidate for the job.

One direct contact took place with Feyenoord manager and understand one more is already scheduled.
