Jana ilikua madereva 23 wa Tanzania, leo ni nane. Halafu ukiwaza wote hawa kabla kufika mpakani na Kenya huko walikotoka wanatema mbegu balaa, natumai kila wanaorudishwa kwao hawaingii mtaani, wanajifungia au kufungiwa sehemu.

Sijui lini ndugu zetu wa Kusini watelewa kwamba hiki kitu kipo na ukaidi wao unaponza majirani.

Eight truck drivers from Tanzania have been denied entry into Kenya after they tested positive for Covid-19 at the Namanga border.

Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi said the border areas have become among the key areas of focus and in particular Namanga town that borders Kenya and Tanzania.

“Our porous borders are now the ones that have become the latest high risk areas in the transmission of the disease. Truck drivers are becoming the other weak link in the fight against the virus,” she said.

Dr. Mwangangi acknowledged that Kenyans have expressed concern over the porous border points but offered reassurance saying as part of the East African Community (EAC), the government is in communication with its counterparts on how best to handle the situation.

Though she did not go into details, the CAS said the National Emergency Response Committee is monitoring the situation and will not hesitate to take any measures as the situation dictates.

“I wish to urge Kenyans to remain calm and exercise patience as the Government addresses the situation,” she added.

The Health CAS further appealed to communities living within and around the border points to actively exercise Nyumba Kumi community policing.

She said the communities must remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals who may be using panya routes to get into Kenya.

Namanga was put on the list of high-risk zones on May 14, 2020 after 25 truck drivers from the border town tested positive for coronavirus.

Health CAS Rashid Aman said on Wednesday that a mobile testing lab is set to be deployed to the Namanga border.

“The mobile testing lab will be used to run Covid-19 tests for truck drivers and is key for surveillance and monitoring of the virus within member states of the EAC,” he said.

Hiyo ndio hatari ya corona, ni kidude kimetokea jehanamu maana kinavyopindisha pindisha mpaka kimezidi kila mmoja akili.
Ingekua hakiui watu, kila mmoja angejiachia tu maana sio rahisi kukwepa, ila sasa chenyewe kinachagua nani wa kuua na nani wa kuachwa salama, maana hamna pattern yoyote, kinaua vijana na kusaza baadhi, kunaua wazee na kuaachia baadhi, kinaua waliokua wazima na pia kusaza baadhi ya waliokua wazima.

I told joto la jiwe that Tanzania is lucky to have a good neighbor like Kenya. We are doing tests for them in their own land something no African country can do without the permission of the local authority. They should add those 31 cases to their national tally.
 
Na wale ambao walikataa kupimwa were turned back. Kenya will not tolerate all her efforts to cut this spread be destroyed by lazy and coward neighbor.
 
Kwa sasa huwezi kuitenganisha Tz na Corona. Corona imeifanya Tanzania kama nyumbani, na Tanzania imeridhika na Corona. Na maisha yanakwenda fresh, kila mtu yuko busy na mambo yake akipambana na hali yake. Kwa sasa hata utamaduni wa kunawa mikono na kuvaa barakoa umeshaanza kupotea kwa kasi na muda sio mrefu huenda ukafutika kabisa Tanzania.

Yote kwa yote, watu wanazidi kuambukizwa kimya kimya, wengine wanadondoka mmoja mmoja bila kutangazwa popote. Siku tukija kushtuka tutakuwa tumechelewa sana.

Wakati leo madereva wengine nane (8) wa malori wakikutwa na COVID 19 mpakani Namanga wakitokea Tanzania, naibu waziri wa afya Kenya bi Mercy Mwangangi ametoa wito kwa wakenya waishio mpakani na Tanzania kuanzisha ulinzi shirikishi wa nyumba 10 kubaini watakaoingia nchini humo kupitia njia za panya.

Jana kuna video niliona mtanzania akikokotwa na polisi wa Kenya kurudishwa Tanzania huku akiambulia kipigo. Musiende kwa wenzenu hawawataki. Huku nchi yenu ikiwa haifanyi jitihada zinazokubalika kitaalam kuzuia kuenea kwa ugonjwa huu bado mnaonekana nyinyi ni tatizo sugu la kusambaa kwa COVID 19 kwa majirani zenu.

Mkuu, huku Tanzania wengi tuna corona, ila tumechagua kuishi kama Sweden, na hata boss mmoja wa WHO leo amekiri kuwa ndio njia nzuri zaidi.

Hawa ndio akili zao, yaani sisi tuchukue tahadhari mpaka hata kustahimili hizi curfews na lockdowns kisha wao waje watuambukize kizembe, hebu waza msoto ambao Uganda imepitia kwa lockdown ya nchi yote, hasira walizo nazo halafu jirani mzembe uje hautaki upimwe eti uruhusiwe upite na kwenda kuanzisha upya kirusi huko.
