The GoT has just requested for a $1.4 billion loan from standard chartered for finish first phase and to start on the second phase while the third phase is a still proposed not under construction. With the delays in construction your phase 1 and 2 costs might spiral out of control.

I am not against borrowing, but the terms of the debt determine a lot. Kenya went for a mixture of concessional loans and grants from china which are cheaper to repay. Tanzania has gone for a commercial loan which will be more expensive to repay and might carry even shorter repayment periods which might put a lot of pressure on the already high deficit budget.

What you are showing is a high speed railway track not designed for cargo only passengers, that is very different from what most countries in the world have. Please read do not try to lie to people.Those were constructed in the last 9 years from 2011, but the backbone of chinese railway is class 1 standard transporting about 4 billion tonnes of cargo a year. Know the difference.
