UPCOMING fashion designer Manju Msita is expected to represent the country in the Mozambique Fashion Week set to be staged in Maputo from Monday to Saturday.
The Swahili Fashion Week Media and Public Relation Manager, Saphia Ngalapi said in the city on Sunday that Manju was selected due to the quality of his work, saying he was selected by the international designer Jan Malan from South Africa during the Swahili Fashion Week.
"The relations between Swahili Fashion Week and Mozambique Fashion Week
started when Mozambique sent its representative in the Swahili Fashion Week, which took place in the city last year," she said.
Marinella Rodriguez represented Mozambique in this year's Swahili Fashion.
On his part, Manju expressed his delight following the appointment, saying "I am glad to represent the country and the Swahili Fashion Week in the event. Hopefully I will fly the Tanzanian flag well."
