Fergie begs FA: Don't hand the title to Chelsea

Sir Alex Ferguson has warned the FA not to gift Chelsea a title advantage.
The Manchester United boss is concerned the rearranged date for his side's Premier League showdown with the current champions could prove the decisive factor in determining top spot this season.
Ferguson insisted he doesn't mind when the game is played...just so long as it offers equal consideration to both teams' crowed fixture lists.
The nightmare scenario is that the fixture won't be played until right at the end of the season...and with Chelsea enjoying home advantage for the clash, it could offer them a real edge as the race comes down to the wire.


The showdown between the two teams was due to be played last weekend, but was postponed due to snow at Stamford Bridge, and already the United manager is worried that it will give his great rivals a huge boost when they need it most.
"I'm not concerned when it's played, to be honest with you, as long as it's fair on both teams in the sense of congestion of fixtures when the game is actually played and wedging it between certain games," he said.
"We've had to look at the fixtures in the last few days and it's quite a difficult one. Because you've got the FA Cup dates, it's difficult to know where to place it, and that's from the point of view of the Premier League and Chelsea as well.
"They'll be looking at the fixture list too. It certainly seems like it's not going to be played until after March at least. All we want is for the new date to be fair for both teams."
With United and Chelsea likely to be involved in the later stages of the Champions' League, and with both clubs almost perennially involved in long FA Cup runs, there really are few free midweek slots for the game to be replayed.
It could mean that they will have to wait until as late as May to replay the fixture, and that offers the mouth-watering prospect of a double-header between the two sides to decide the destination of the title.
United entertain the London club in the league on May 7, and that obviously offers them a real advantage. But that could be prised back by Chelsea if they can persuade the FA to reschedule the following midweek, before the final weekend of the season on May 15 - which is one of the few free midweeks.
Ferguson knows that his side have already lost out, because Carlo Ancelotti's side were in poor form when the original fixture came around, and he doesn't want to see his rivals given an unexpected boost in the title race that has been between the two clubs for the past six years.
Ferguson is clearly troubled by the fixture...but he still insisted he believes enough in his side's quality to go to Stamford Bridge and win the title.
"It's difficult to say with these things. Obviously Chelsea are in a bad bit of form and they were probably quite happy to get the game off, that's one way of looking at it," he said.
"At the end of the day it doesn't matter when we go to Chelsea, we've got to be confident of going there with the right team to win."
It has been a bizarre season so far, with United, Chelsea and Arsenal all dropping many more points than expected, but Fergie still believes it will come down to a three way race between those clubs.
The Old Trafford boss though, was at pains to point out that the quality of English football has improved again, with a new generation of top class coaches closing the gap between the middle-ranked clubs and the elite.
"It's a funny league now. The middle teams have certainly tightened up the league, there's not doubt about that. You have to recognise it's a different type of league, with teams getter closer," he said.
"But I still don't think they'll be anyone outside of ourselves, Chelsea or Arsenal. I think those three will certainly be there at the end.
"I know Harry is talking up his chances very well at Tottenham but they're involved in the Champions League and it's a new thing for them. City have got a chance, of course. That's the other team, and they could buy, but I don't see anyone outside the three.
"The financial gap is maybe closing too, but is it not the management also? I think there are a lot of good young managers in the Premier League now and they're galvanising their teams well.
"Steve Bruce has turned Sunderland around, Alex McLeish is doing a great job at Birmingham, Owen Coyle has his team on a fantastic run and Roberto Di Matteo at West Brom too.
"The football West Brom are playing this season and the goals they're scoring away from home, they're a highlight to the season, so you have to give credit to what's happening in terms of the management structure of the league."
United face Sunderland on Boxing Day, who will be without their loan signing from Old Trafford Danny Wellbeck, because United have an agreement about him missing the game.
Ferguson has ruled out the young striker going to the Stadium of Light permanently, and he has also ruled out a move to bring David Beckham back to the club, because of the player's advancing years. The United boss also confirmed that Edwin Van Der Saar will definitely retire at the end of the season, and he admitted to some regrets over the Dutch keeper.
"He's an outstanding man, to be able to play at 40, programme himself and train the way he does is phenomenal, but I always expected this to be his final season.
"I've been very lucky to have had him and Peter Schmeichel as United keepers, and I think we have learned the lessons from when Peter went. I should have signed Van der Sar after Schmeichel. I made a mistake but now we think we know where we're going."

Tunatarajia katika mashindano ya mwaka huu kuona timu zilizoandaliwa zikicheza mashindano hayo kwa sababu hilo ndilo lengo lake na sio kuokoteza wachezaji na kushiriki mashindano kwa kuogopa TFF isiwafungie.

Ferguson has also challenged his team to propel themselves to the title by emerging from the festive fixtures as league leaders.

Ferguson, who has made moves to plan for the future at Old Trafford in recent weeks by signing 26-year-old goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard and sanctioning a new five-year contract for Brazilian midfielder Anderson, this week reiterated his intention to continue as United manager beyond the end of this season.

But the prospects of Beckham rejoining United on loan next month or Van der Sar playing beyond his 41st birthday next year have been dismissed by Ferguson.

Beckham, who left United for Real Madrid in 2003, admitted earlier this week that he would "only come back for Manchester United" should he be able to secure a loan from LA Galaxy during the MLS closed season. But Ferguson insisted that he had no plans to offer the 35 year-old a career swansong at Old Trafford.

"I don't think so, with David at his age." Ferguson said. "I've never signed a player as old as that have I? Henrik Larsson [also 35] only came for a month."


By signing Denmark international Lindegaard from Norwegian club Aalesunds last month, Ferguson has already laid the ground for Van der Sar to vacate the stage next summer.
A further move into the market for Germany keeper Manuel Neuer or Atletico Madrid's David de Gea is also likely with Ferguson admitting that he has learnt from the mistakes he made when replacing Peter Schmeichel in 1999.
"Both of them [Schmeichel and Van der Sar] have been magnificent goalkeepers and I've been very lucky to have had them both." Ferguson said. "I should have signed Van der Sar after Schmeichel. I made a mistake there, but now we think we know where we're going."
United face Sunderland at Old Trafford on Boxing Day two points clear of the pack, with one game in hand on Arsenal and Chelsea and two on neighbours Manchester City.
One of United's 'spare' fixtures is at Chelsea following the postponement of last Sunday's league game because of the adverse weather conditions in the capital.
That game is now unlikely to be rescheduled until March at the earliest, but despite the possibility of the fixture being staged at the end of the season as a possible title decider, Ferguson insists United are happy to play it at any time – so long as the new date is 'fair'.

The 23-year-old is established as first choice for France, but Lyon’s £25m valuation could scare United away.

Russia’s number one starred against United in the Champions League group stage last season. Out of contract in Dec 2011.
Maarten Stekelenburg (Ajax)
At 28, he is regarded as well-established and the Holland number one is out of contract in Jun 2012, so he could be signed relatively cheaply.
 
Wenger ridicules Nani's title jibes

Arsene Wenger has ridiculed Nani after the Manchester United winger wrote off Arsenal's title chances.
Portugese star Nani claimed only United and Chelsea can win the Premier League this season after claiming Arsenal and Manchester City are already out of the running.
But Arsenal boss Wenger laughed off Nani's jibes and claimed he is ready to prove the United winger wrong.
Wenger said: "Everybody has a different opinion in this league and nobody is a prophet. We live in a society where everybody knows everything and it looks like it is a shame to say I don't know.


"I personally don't know who will win the league. I have managed 1,600 games so if Nani knows he must be 1,600 times more intelligent than I am."
Wenger was in bullish mood about Arsenal's title chances even if their results against their biggest rivals are far from impressive.
Arsenal have lost their last five games against Chelsea, they lost at Manchester United less than a fortnight ago and have lost ten of their last 11 against the pair of them in all competitions.
Wenger admits Arsenal must change that awful sequence of results starting against Chelsea on Monday while they also entertain Manchester City on January 5 as they face a critical festive examination of their title credentials.
"Statistics are history and every game is a new start," said Wenger. "Every guy before he wins, he has lost. One day, he wins. We have to make sure for us that day is on Monday.
"We are in a strong position now in December and we know our home form against the big teams will be the decider for the championship.
"We've got to play Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool at home and that will be decisive. We've played them all away.
"We are confident of taking on Chelsea. We have a big challenge. What we want is to produce an intelligent game full of dynamic and that is the only way we can win these big games. That's the challenge of the team.
"Chelsea have gone through a period where results are a bit less good but that can happen to anyone in this league.
"We have seen recently that any team, when you think they are on the brink of breaking through, they have a hiccup. Maybe it's just the quality of the league.
"I'm surprised that we lost five games - and three of them at home against teams who are not normally fighting for the championship.
"The good news is that we are in a good position and we have not paid a high price for that. Of course our home form in the second part of the season will be decider."

Juzi Kaimu Katibu Mkuu wa TFF Sunday Kayuni alitangaza majina ya waamuzi 14 waliopewa beji za FIFA ambazo zinawaruhusu kuchezesha mechi za Ligi daraja la kwanza, Ligi Kuu na michuano ya kimataifa.

Habari zilizoandikwa jana na gazeti moja la kila siku (sio HABARILEO) zinasema kuwa, miongoni mwa waliopewa beji hizo hawakustahili kitu ambacho hata Mwenyekiti wa Kamati ya Waamuzi Shaibu Nampunde alishangaa na kukiri waamuzi waliopewa beji si wale kamati yake iliowapendekeza.

Mmoja wa wajumbe wa Kamati ya Utendaji ya Chama cha Waamuzi (FRAT) alisema Kamati yao ilipeleka majina TFF ili yatumwe FIFA lakini walishangazwa na kitendo cha kutangazwa waamuzi wengine ndio waliopata beji hizo.

Habari zaidi zinasema kuna waamuzi wanne wenye kashfa FIFA baada ya kwenda Alqaeda kuchezesha mashindano yasiyotambuliwa na shirikisho hilo la kimataifa.

Waamuzi ambao Kamati ya FRAT iliwaacha ni Oden Mbaga, Hamisi Chang'walu na Jesse Erasmo na ambao iliwateua na kupeleka majina yao kuombewa beji za FIFA ni Ferdinand Chacha, Alex Mahabi na Hashim Abdallah.

Akizungumza na gazeti hili kwa simu kutoka Nairobi jana, Tenga alisema taarifa hizo hajazipata lakini ni lazima atakaporudi alifuatilie na kuona nini kimetokea.

"I've been waiting for this for a very long time," said the Ghanaian international. "I supported Manchester United since I was a boy and my hero was Eric Cantona.

"I hope I can score there because although I'm a Man U fan I'm doing my job. I have to stay positive so we're going there to win. Maybe I'll try and swap shirts – definitely it will happen. I don't know whose shirt, any player.

"I liked United because they played good football. I liked Eric Cantona because he was a great player, his personality and everything.

"My dad was a Man U fan for many, many years. His favourite player was Gary Pallister, because he played in defence."

Sunderland's £13 million club-record signing may have strengthened United's title challenge by helping his club beat Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge and he is optimistic of repeating the upset.



"Now I think teams will be wary of taking on Sunderland because Sunderland look very dangerous," Gyan added.
"We are saying if we can do it at Stamford Bridge, we can do it at Old Trafford. We do respect Manchester United, but we are also capable of going there and picking up a win."

United currently top the Premier League standings by two points ahead of Arsenal, City and then Chelsea. They also have a game in hand over the two Lobndon clubs and two over their Manchester rivals.

Nani has emerged from the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo to play a lead role in United's surge to the summit and believes that, come the end of the season, the title race will between just two teams.

"I no longer see anybody winning the Premier League this season outside of Manchester United or Chelsea. Hopefully, it will be United," he said.

As well as winning trophies with United, Nani's next goal is to make the list of nominees for the Ballon D'Or.

"It is easier for me to stand out now that Cristiano Ronaldo has left the club," he said. "He is a fantastic player who got all the attention and deservedly so.



"I loved playing alongside him and we got on well together. But it is also true to say that, when he left United, it freed up space for other players to shine.
"When he left, I saw an opportunity to demonstrate my qualities and to show the people at United what I can do. That is exactly what I have done.
"I know I can become a better player and my aim now is to get on the list of nominees for next year's Ballon d'Or - the European Player of the Year prize.
"I want to leave my mark and hope after I retire that people will say Nani was a great player. I really want to do something special in my lifetime."

Arsenal v Chelsea: Carlo Ancelotti says Didier Drogba will put fear into Arsène Wenger's side again

Chelsea, whose performance against Arsenal at the Emirates last season was widely described as men against boys, believe the Gunners are again scared of facing the pace and power of Didier Drogba ahead of Monday's crucial clash in north London.

Carlo Ancelotti's side won the corresponding fixture 3-0 last year, Drogba scoring twice on the way to clinching the club's first ever Premier League and FA Cup Double, and they also won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge with Drogba on the scoresheet.

The Ivorian has continued his remarkable record against Arsenal this season, scoring in a 2-0 win in October that made it 10 goals against Arsène Wenger's men in 14 meetings.

Although a bout of malaria has hampered Drogba's contribution in recent weeks, Ancelotti believes he could be the key man again.

"Arsenal have fantastic ability and are able to play fantastic football, but maybe they concede something defensively, so we have to use our ability to find the right space to create difficulty in their defensive line," Ancelotti said.

"I think they are a little bit afraid of the performance of Drogba, because he's done very well against them. If Drogba plays at his best, we'll have more opportunity to win. We want to try the same game that we played against them, and we hope to reach the same result."

The problem for Chelsea is that Drogba has struggled since his illness and has not scored from open play in two months, but the postponement of last weekend's match against Manchester United has given the striker time to build his fitness - with Frank Lampard also using it to recover from hernia surgery.
"I think it was an advantage," said Ancelotti, who has given his team Christmas Day off. "We trained well. We have improved our condition, we used this time - it was a good time for us - and now we're ready to play. Zhirkov, Benayoun and Alex are still out for this game, but the other players have had good sessions and all are in good condition, they are able to play.
"Obviously, I think that Lampard will be excited to play after a long time out. I think he can give fantastic support to the team with his performances."
Chelsea captain John Terry has suggested the champions' squad is weaker this season, with experienced players such as Michael Ballack, Deco and Ricardo Carvalho replaced by young players who are not quite ready, but Ancelotti is not in a rush to spend frivolously in the transfer market.
He strongly denied speculation Chelsea are about to bid for Tottenham's Luka Modric and insisted his squad can cope, saying; "Modric is a good player but we're not interested, no one is speaking about him here. Also, there's no reason to speak now about the new players. If we need to have something, we are able to do it. Arsenal v Chelsea: Carlo Ancelotti says Didier Drogba will put fear into Arsène Wenger's side again

Chelsea, whose performance against Arsenal at the Emirates last season was widely described as men against boys, believe the Gunners are again scared of facing the pace and power of Didier Drogba ahead of Monday’s crucial clash in north London.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side won the corresponding fixture 3-0 last year, Drogba scoring twice on the way to clinching the club’s first ever Premier League and FA Cup Double, and they also won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge with Drogba on the scoresheet.

The Ivorian has continued his remarkable record against Arsenal this season, scoring in a 2-0 win in October that made it 10 goals against Arsène Wenger’s men in 14 meetings.

Although a bout of malaria has hampered Drogba’s contribution in recent weeks, Ancelotti believes he could be the key man again.

“Arsenal have fantastic ability and are able to play fantastic football, but maybe they concede something defensively, so we have to use our ability to find the right space to create difficulty in their defensive line,” Ancelotti said.

“I think they are a little bit afraid of the performance of Drogba, because he’s done very well against them. If Drogba plays at his best, we’ll have more opportunity to win. We want to try the same game that we played against them, and we hope to reach the same result.”

The problem for Chelsea is that Drogba has struggled since his illness and has not scored from open play in two months, but the postponement of last weekend’s match against Manchester United has given the striker time to build his fitness - with Frank Lampard also using it to recover from hernia surgery.
“I think it was an advantage,” said Ancelotti, who has given his team Christmas Day off. “We trained well. We have improved our condition, we used this time - it was a good time for us - and now we’re ready to play. Zhirkov, Benayoun and Alex are still out for this game, but the other players have had good sessions and all are in good condition, they are able to play.
“Obviously, I think that Lampard will be excited to play after a long time out. I think he can give fantastic support to the team with his performances.”
Chelsea captain John Terry has suggested the champions’ squad is weaker this season, with experienced players such as Michael Ballack, Deco and Ricardo Carvalho replaced by young players who are not quite ready, but Ancelotti is not in a rush to spend frivolously in the transfer market.
He strongly denied speculation Chelsea are about to bid for Tottenham’s Luka Modric and insisted his squad can cope, saying; “Modric is a good player but we’re not interested, no one is speaking about him here. Also, there’s no reason to speak now about the new players. If we need to have something, we are able to do it. Phiri ataka kujipima kimataifa

KOCHA Mkuu wa Simba, Patrick Phiri amesema anataka timu yake icheze mechi nyingi za kimataifa kwa maandalizi ya michuano ya Ligi ya Klabu Bingwa Afrika na si kutegemea mechi za Ligi Kuu pekee.

Simba inatarajia kuanza kampeni za klabu bingwa mwishoni mwa Januari ambapo imepangiwa kufungua dimba katika hatua ya awali dhidi ya Elan de Mitsoudje ya Comoro na ikivuka hatua hiyo itacheza na mabingwa watetezi TP Mazembe ya Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Kongo.

Akizungumza na gazeti hili kwa njia ya simu jana, Phiri alisema malengo yake ni kujipima kimataifa zaidi na tayari ameshalifikisha suala hilo kwa uongozi ulifanyie kazi.

Simba kesho itajitupa kwenye Uwanja wa Uhuru Dar es Salaam kumenyana na AFC Leopards ya Kenya ikiwa ni sehemu ya maandalizi yake ya Ligi Kuu na michuano ya kimataifa.

Mzunguko wa pili wa Ligi Kuu ambao Simba ndio inaongoza kwa tofauti ya pointi mbili unatarajiwa kuanza Januari 15.

"Mashindano ambayo timu yangu inacheza si madogo, na timu tunazokutana nazo ni kubwa hivyo nahitaji sana mechi za kujipima nguvu za kimataifa kuliko zile la kitaifa,"alisema Phiri.

Hata hivyo, mazoezi ya kocha huyo bado hayajakamilika kwani anawakosa baadhi ya wachezaji wake Waganda Joseph Owino, Patrick Ochan na Emmanuel Okwi ambao bado hawajaripoti.

Kocha huyo alisema kutokana na kukosekana kwa wachezaji hao anashindwa kutoa mazoezi magumu kwa vile wachezaji hawajakamilika hali inayofanya kuchelewesha programu yake.

WAKATI Simba na Yanga wakiwazia TP Mazembe ya Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Kongo na Haras El Hadoud ya Misri, kocha wa jirani zao Ulinzi Stars ya Kenya, Benjamin Nyangweso naye ameanza kuhaha kuimarisha kikosi chake baada ya kupangwa na timu ngumu kwenye Ligi ya Mabingwa Afrika 2011 taarifa kutoka Kenya zilikariri.

Mabingwa hao wa Ligi Kuu Kenya wamepangwa na miamba wa Misri, Zamalek katika mechi ya raundi ya kwanza iliyopangwa kufanyika Kenya kati ya Januari 28-31 na marudiano kati ya Februari 11-13.

Simba na Yanga endapo watavuka mechi za awali dhidi ya Elan de Mitsoudje ya Comoro na Dedebit ya Ethiopia, watakutana na vigogo Mazembe na Hadoud katika mechi za Ligi ya Mabingwa na Kombe la Shirikisho Afrika.

Wawakilishi wengine wa Kenya kwenye michuano hiyo ya klabu barani Afrika, Sofapaka wamepangwa na timu ya Angola, Aviacao raundi ya kwanza.

Mabingwa hao wa KPL mwaka 2009 watacheza mechi ya kwanza ugenini na marudiano Nairobi Februari.

"Mechi ngumu kwa sababu Zamalek ni miongoni mwa timu bora Afrika lakini tunatakiwa kuamini kwamba tunaweza kushinda kwa sababu ni mechi ya wachezaji 11 kila upande uwanjani," alisema Nyangweso.

"Tutajaribu kuwachapa na kufikia mafanikio ambayo hakuna timu ya Kenya iliyoweza kufikia. Soka ni mchezo usiotabirika hivyo, tuna nafasi.

Tunachotakiwa ni kujiamini na kuingia kwenye mpambano tukiwa na matumaini tuna uwezo wa kuwatandika Zamalek," aliongeza.

Ulinzi wametinga kwenye michuano hiyo kwa mara ya kwanza baada ya kujitoa mwaka 2004 kitendo kilichosababisha wafungiwe na Shirikisho la Soka Afrika (Caf).

Nyangweso alisema timu yake itaanza kambi Januari 3 tayari kwa mechi hiyo muhimu.

"Tumevunja kambi kwa ajili ya sikukuu, lakini nimeomba wachezaji wote kurejea Januari 3 ili kuanza kujifua."

Hata hivyo, hakutaka kuweka wazi mipango ya kikosi chake akisema taratibu bado zinafanyiwa kazi.

Taarifa za vyombo vya habari zimekuwa zikimhusisha akiwania kununua wachezaji kadhaa ili kuimarisha kikosi wakiwapo wachezaji wa Tusker, Jockins Atudo na Collins Kisuya na Havenar Maloba.

Ulinzi walishinda taji la Ligi Kenya kwa mara ya kwanza baada ya miaka mitano msimu uliopita na kuwaacha Gor Mahia katika nafasi ya pili.

Maafande hao walimaliza ligi na pointi 59 huku Gor wakimaliza na pointi 56.
 
Kampuni zajitokeza kudhamini Tenisi

KAMPUNI kadhaa zimeanza kujitokeza kudhamini Mradi wa Chama cha Tenisi Tanzania (TTA) wa kujenga timu itakayoshiriki michuano mikubwa ya tenisi ya Davis Cup msimu wa mwaka 2012.

Mratibu wa Mradi huo Juma Furuji alithibitisha Dar es Salaam jana TTA kuingia mkataba na kampuni kadhaa, lakini alisita kuweka wazi kampuni hizo.

Juma alisema: "Tumezungumza na baaadhi ya kampuni za ndani na bado mazungumzo yanaendelea, tusingependa kutaja majina kwa sasa hadi kila kitu kitakapokamilika."

Furuji hata hivyo, alisema kazi kubwa ipo Bolzano, Italia ambako mshirika wao leo anakutana na Rais wa Mradi wa ‘Tennis for Africa Foundation' Fabrizio Caldarone ambao nyota wa tenisi Italia Andreas Seppi anatarajia kuhudhuria.

Kutokana na timu ya mwaka 2012 ya Davis Cup kutarajia kuweka kambi viwanja vya Kijitonyama jijini mapema Machi mwakani, pande hizo mbili zinahitaji kufanya kazi ya ziada kuhakikisha mradi huo ambao utaiweka Tanzania kwenye ramani ya tenisi duniani unafanikiwa.

Mapema mwezi huu TTA, walisaini mkataba wa ubia wa miaka mitatu na MoU taasisi ya Tenisi Italia wenye lengo la kuchochea maendeleo ya tenisi, lakini muhimu kujenga timu ya Davis Cup.

Katika makubaliano hayo MoU, wataleta makocha ambao watafundisha vijana pamoja na kuinua viwango vya makocha wa ndani.

MoU pia itahakikisha pande hizo mbili zote zinafanya kampeni za kukusanya fedha ndani na nje kwa ajili ya mafanikio ya mradi.

KU NDI la muziki wa kizazi kipya wa Injili la G&SET la Dar es Salaam na mwimbaji wa muziki huo Faraja Kampambe ni miongoni mwa wasanii watakaotumbuiza leo katika tamasha maalumu la kunoa vipaji vya vijana wa elimu ya juu litakalofanyika saa mbili usiku hadi saa sita katika ukumbi wa City Christian Centre Upanga.

Wakizungumza na gazeti hili kwa njia ya simu kwa nyakati tofauti, Faraja ambaye jina lake la kisanii anajulikana kama Huru kweli alisema, kitendo cha kualikwa na CCC kuimba, kunazidi kubainisha jinsi muziki wa kizazi kipya wa Injili ulivyokubalika ndani ya makanisa ikilinganishwa na siku zilizopita.

"Nachukua nafasi hii kuwajulisha vijana wenzangu kuwa badala ya kwenda klabu kucheza muziki na kufanya fujo huko waje kesho (leo) jioni watajionea kile ambacho wangekiona huko kwani mahali hapo salama zaidi". Alisema.

Naye Godfrey Benjani akizungumza kwa niaba ya G&SET, alisema muziki wa Injili wa kizazi kipya unaopendwa na vijana ikiwa utapewa uzito katika makanisa, utawavuta baadhi ya vijana ambao wanajihusisha na muziki wa Bongo flava na kupotea.

Kwa pamoja waliwashauri mashabiki wa muziki wa injili kuhakikisha wanapanga kufika kwa sababu baada ya tamasha hilo, vijana walio wengi watakuwa wamebadilishwa.

Awali, akizungumza na vyombo vya habari Ofisini kwake kuhusu tukio hilo, Askofu Ranwell Mwenisongole wa Tanzania Assemblies of God (TAG) City Christian Centre lililoandaa tamasha hilo alisema, kusherehekea sikukuu ya Krismasi ni zaidi ya kula na kunywa.

Askofu huyo alisema, kwa kuutambua mchango wa vijana katika kusukuma mbele gurudumu la maendeleo ya Taifa, kanisa limeona umuhimu wa kuandaa tamasha hilo ili pamoja na mambo mengine liwasaidie vijana kuondokana na mmomonyoko wa maadili.

"Mmomonyoko wa maadili hivi sasa katika jamii siyo suala la kushangaza hata kidogo na hali hii isipokemewa tutajikuta siku moja tunalaumiana kila mtu". Alisema.
 


Machibya ataka bajeti ya michezo

MKUU wa Mkoa wa Morogoro, Issa Machibya amezitaka halmashauri za wilaya za mkoa huo katika mwaka ujao wa fedha kutenga bajeti itakayogharamia uendeshaji wa michezo ya aina mbalimbali kwa ngazi za Wilaya na Mkoa katika timu za shule za msingi na sekondari ili kujenga hamasa ya wachezaji kwenye mashindano katika kutetea ushindi wa kimkoa na kitaifa.

Agizo la Machibya limekuja baada ya kufahamishwa kuwa katika suala la michezo halijatengenezewa bajeti na halmashauri za wilaya wala mkoa, hali inayochangia timu zinazowakilisha mkoa ama wilaya kwenye mashindano mbalimbali kushindwa kufanya vyema.

Aliyasema hayo jana baada ya kukabidhiwa vikombe vya ushindi wa kwanza wa timu ya Netiboli ya Mkoa wa Morogoro ya shule za msingi na ushindi wa pili wa mchezo wa mpira wa miguu baada ya kuvitwaa wakati wa mashindano ya Umoja wa Michezo , Taaluma ya Shule za Msingi Tanzania ( UMITASHUMTA) yaliyomalizika hivi karibuni Mjini Kibaha, Pwani.

Awali, kabla ya kutoa agizo hilo Machibya aliwapongeza wachezaji wa timu zote zilizoshiriki soka, netiboli na riadha pamoja na watendaji waliofuatana na timu hiyo sambamba na walimu wao ambao kwa namna moja katika ushirikiano wao wamefanikiwa kuuletea heshima kubwa Mkoa wa Morogoro kupitia mashindano hayo ya UMITASHUMTA.

Kutokana na mafanikio hayo walioonesha vijana hao, Mkuu wa Mkoa alitumia fursa hiyo kumwagiza Katibu Tawala wa Mkoa wa Morogoro , Mgeni Baruani , kutoa maelekezo kwa wakurugenzi wa halmashauri za wilaya zote katika mkoa huo kwenye kipindi cha bajeti zao za mwaka ujao kutenga fedha kwa ajili ya shughuli za kuendeleza michezo shuleni.

"Leo (jana) nimejawa na furaha tele…kutoka kwa vijana hawa, wameuletea heshima mkoa wetu katika michezo, ubingwa wa netiboli wa mashindano haya kitaifa ni chachu ya kuendeleza michezo mkoani mwetu…pia ushindi wa pili wa soka ni kielelezo tosha kuwa michezo shuleni ikitengewa fedha itakuwa ni endelevu na mafanikio makubwa," alisema.

Naye Ofisa Elimu wa Mkoa wa Morogoro, Fatma Kilimia, ambaye alikuwa ni Mkuu wa Msafara wa Timu ya Mkoa alisema kuwa jumla ya wachezaji 60 wakiwemo wavulana 37 na wasichana 23 walishiriki michezo hiyo.

"Vijana wetu wamefanya kazi nzuri sana na kupata ushindi wa kwanza katika netiboli na wa pili kwenye soka pia mkoa umetoa mchezaji bora wa mpira wa miguu na kijana wetu mmoja kupata medali ya dhahabu kwenye mbio za mita 100…haya ni mafanikio makubwa," alisema Kilimia.

Alisema ushindi huo ulitokana na mshikamano na ushirikiano uliokuwapo baina ya viongozi na vijana wao, nidhamu na moyo wa kujituma kwa vijana hao na kuwashukuru wadau waliochangia kuiwezesha timu hiyo kushiriki mashindano hayo ya kwanza tangu Serikali kurudisha michezo shuleni.

Katika mashindano hayo , Timu ya Netiboli ya Mkoa wa Morogoro, iliifunga Mbeya mabao 24 -16 na kwa upande wa soka Morogoro ilishika nafasi ya pili baada ya kufungwa na Mbeya mabao 4-1.

Mashindano hayo ya Umitashumta , ambayo ni ya kwanza tangu kusitishwa mwaka 2000 , yalishirikisha mikoa kumi ya Tanzania Bara ambayo ni Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Iringa, Dodoma, Singida, Mbeya na Morogoro , ambapo pia Mkoa wa Tabora ulipeleka wanafunzi wenye ulemavu na Mkoa wa Dar es Salaam, baadhi ya washiriki wake walikuwa ni wenye ulemavu pia.
 

Twanga Pepeta kukesha Tabata leo

BENDI ya muziki wa dansi ya African Stars `Twanga Pepeta' imewaomba wapenzi wao kujitokeza kwa wingi leo usiku kwenye onesho lao maalumu la mkesha wa Krismasi litakalofanyika kwenye ukumbi wa Da' West Park Tabata.

Mkurugenzi wa bendi hiyo Asha Baraka alisema jana kuwa onesho hilo litakuwa la aina yake kwani mashabiki wa bendi hiyo pia watatumia fursa hiyo kuwafariji wanamuziki wa Twanga Pepeta kwa kifo cha mwanamuziki mwenzao Abuu Semhando aliyefariki Jumamosi iliyopita kwa ajali ya pikipiki.

"Tunawaomba wapenzi wetu wajitokeze kwa wingi ili tujumuike pamoja kama familia ya African Stars Entertainment," Asha Baraka alisema.

"Hili litakuwa onesho letu la kwanza la wazi tangu tumzike Semhando. Tumeandaa burudani nzuri kwa wapenzi wetu kwa ajili ya Krismasi," Asha alisema na kuongeza kuwa bendi hiyo kwa mara ya kwanza itatambulisha rasmi nyimbo zake mpya walizomshirikisha mwanamuziki nguli kutoka Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Kongo, Bozi Boziana.

"Tutaonesha video ya nyimbo hizo kwa mashabiki wetu ukumbini ikiwa ni zawadi ya Krismasi kwa mashabiki wetu," alisema.

Aidha, alisema katika onesho hilo rapa wa bendi hiyo Saulo Furgasom atazindua ‘rapu' yake mpya kwenye onesho hilo lililoandaliwa na Bob Entertainment na kudhaminiwa na kinywaji cha Konyagi na Freditto Entertainment.

Bendi hiyo ina waimbaji mahiri ambao safu yake inaongozwa wa Lwiza Mbutu, Amigolas, Saleh Kupaza, Charles Baba, Dogo Rama, Msafiri Diouf, Kalala Junior, Khalid Chokoraa na Janet Isinika.
 
Wasaidizi waandaliwa mashindano ya gofu

KLABU ya Gymkhana Moshi imekusudia kuinua viwango vya wachezaji ambao ni wasaidizi (Caddies) kwenye klabu hiyo kwa kuandaa mashindano ya kila mwezi.

Nahodha wa gofu klabuni hapo Titus Murage katika taarifa yake kwa wanachama wa Klabu ya Gymkhana Moshi ambayo HABARILEO ilibahatika kupata nakala yake alisema katika kuhakikisha Caddie wanaimarika na kujenga nidhamu miongoni mwao wamepangwa kuwa na mashindano hayo na kuwataka wanachama kuchangia.

Alisema uamuzi huo umetokana na kikao cha pamoja kati ya uongozi na Caddies cha hivi karibuni.

"Tulikuwa na kikao na caddies na tumekubaliana pia kuimarisha usalama na taratibu za weledi kwa wasaidizi hao," alisema.

Murage aliongeza kuwa wanatarajia kuwa na mashindano hayo kila mwezi, lakini kabla wameanza na mashindano yaliyofanyika Jumapili iliyopita.

"Tunataka caddies wote kuwa na tabia njema na kuepuka ulevi kwenye viwanja vya gofu hivyo, tunatarajia wachezaji na wanachama kwa ujumla watatoa ushirikiano kwa hilo," alisema.

Nahodha huyo alisema kwa upande wao caddies wamekubali kusaidia kuboresha viwanja kama mchango wao kwa timu iliyoundwa ya kuimarisha greens kwenye viwanja hivyo.

Alisema kuanzia mwakani kutakuwa na utaratibu wa kuwatambua caddies wote wanaotumika kwenye viwanja hivyo ili kuwa rahisi kuwatambua wakorofi na kutakuwa na madaraja ya caddies.

Katika mashindano ya Jumapili iliyopita nahodha huyo alichangia 50,000 kwenye mashindano hayo.

"Naomba wenzangu kuunga mkono kwa kushiriki na kuchangia Sh 10,000, caddies wamekuwa wakitutumikia mwaka mzima nafikiri ni vyema kuwaleta pamoja kabla ya mwisho wa mwaka."

Wasaidizi hao wa wachezaji pia ni tegemeo kwa taifa kwani ndiko wanakopatikana vijana wanaounda timu za taifa.

"Huo ndiyo utaratibu uliopo kwa kila mchezaji, pale anaposaini mkataba mpya hulipwa fedha zake za usajili, ambapo tunatakiwa kulipwa kwa vipindi vitatu, lakini tunashangaa kuona hatulipwi fedha zetu," alisema mmoja wa wachezaji wa timu hiyo ambaye hakupenda kuandikwa jina lake gazetini.

Alisema hii imekuwa ikiwakatisha tamaa mno, hali ambayo itawafanya wakose morali mazoezini na katika michuano inayowakabili.

Naye mchezaji mwingine ambaye pia hakutaka kutajwa jina, alisema kama hali hiyo ikiendelea hawaoni sababu ya kuendelea na mazoezi kwa kuwa hawana fedha.

Malalamiko hayo yameungwa mkono na mmoja wa viongozi wa klabu hiyo, ambaye alisema ni kweli wachezaji wanadai fedha zao za usajili na wametishia kugoma kuendelea na mazoezi endapo hawatalipwa.

"Kwa upande wetu hali kama hii si nzuri, hivyo tunafanya utaratibu wa kuona kama tutaweza kuchukua mkopo sehemu, ili tuwalipe wachezaji wetu," alisema kiongozi huyo ambaye naye aliomba asiandikwe jina lake.

WACHEZAJI wa kimataifa wa Simba Emmanuel Okwi, Patrick Ochan na Joseph Owino kesho hawatacheza mchezo wa kirafiki dhidi ya AFC Leopards ya Kenya utakaochezwa Uwanja wa Uhuru, Dar es Salaam.Akizungumza
Dar es Salaam jana Meneja wa timu hiyo, Innocent Njovu alisema katika mchezo huo watawakosa wachezaji hao kwasababu wanatarajiwa kutua nchini keshokutwa.

"Tutacheza mchezo huo bila nyota wetu wa kimataifa Okwi, Ochan na Owino lakini tunawahakikishia mashabiki wetu kuwa tutashinda mchezo huo," alisema Njovu.

Alisema wachezaji waliopo wanatosha kuisambaratisha timu hiyo kutoka Kenya, kutokana na mazoezi makali ambayo Kocha Mkuu wa timu hiyo Patrick Phiri, amekuwa akiwapa wachezaji wake mazoezi makali.

Njovu alisema wamejiandaa vizuri kuhakikisha wanafanya vizuri katika mchezo huo, kwani mashabiki wao watakuwa na shauku kubwa ya kuiona timu yao.
