Kwa kushirikiana na kaka, tuliamdaa safari ya kwenda kujitambulisha kwao Rosemary.

Kaka Alitafuta rafiki yake na mzee mmoja tukaenda Songea kwao Rosemary.

Tuliongea na Rosemary, tukamuomba awaeleze ukweli wazazi wake, ili tukifika kusiwe na kusumbuliwa maana kaka alipata ruhusa ya aiku 7 pekee.

Tusingeweza kurudi tena kuongea kuhusu mali, na muda unaenda, mimba inakua.

Tulianza safari May 12 1999, Lengo letu ndoa ifungwe kabla ya mwaka kuisha ili Rosemary ajifungue ndani ya ndoa.

Tulijiandaa kamili kwamba hakuna kurudishwa tena, tulienda watu watano. Kaka Edwin, rafiki yake, mzee moja, mimi, rafiki yangu.

Tulifika Songea usiku sana, kutokana na madereva wetu kutokuwa na uzoefu na ile njia hasa kwenye ile 'milima ya lukumbulu'.

Tulifikia guest moja nazani ilikuwa inaitwa 'anex'. Ilikuwa inamilikiwa na Matiko mmiliki wa Buhemba hotel. Inatazamana na shule ya msingi misufini.

Kesho yake kaka Edwin , rafiki yake, Mzee kiongozi na rafiki yangu, walienda kwao Rosemary kujitambulisha. Rosemary alikuwa amerudi kwao kwa ajili ya tukio hilo.

Wazazi wake Rosemary wanaishi 'Mahenge' njia ya kwenda Field Force Unit aka FFU (Fanya Fujo Uone).

Baba yake ni mtu mngwana sana, waliwakuta wanawasubiri , walishapewa taarifa za ujio ule.

Mzee kiongozi (alikuwa mgoni pia) alitumia busara zake kushawishi, hatimaye barua ikakubaliwa.

(mjomba msomaji wa barua alikuta elfu 50 ya kusomea barua ndani ya bahasha).

Wakaambiwa twende kesho ili nijitambulishe kisha waseme mali waitakayo. Ni baada ya yule Mzee kuomba tufanye kwa upesi maana wanaotakiwa kurudi kazini.

Kesho yake tulifika wote watano, tukapata mapokezi makubwa, safari hii walichinja mbuzi.

Mzee alinipokea kwa heshima zote, hata kabla sijatambulishwa kila mtu alijua ni mimi maana sikuwepo jana yake.

Tukaambiwa wameniona,
Wakasema mali waitakayo. Nakumbuka ng'ombe 4, mbuzi 4, mablanketi, masufuria, n. k

(Hapa Rosemary alisaidia sana kuondoa usumbufu, aliwaambia mimi ndie nilimpa ile laki na 80 kipindi mama anaumwa),

Yule mzee kiongozi alisema tunaomba tupewe gharama ya hivyo vitu vyote ili tulipe cash maana sisi kuvipata na kivifikisha kwao itakuwa kazi, kutokana na ufinyu wa muda.

Mali ya mke wangu nilitoa milioni 2 na laki 7.
