Hezbollah Statement No. 4638 issued by the Islamic Resistance Operations Room:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Permission to fight is given to those who are being fought, because they have been wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.
God Almighty is true
In support of the steadfast Palestinian people, in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in defense of our steadfast Lebanese people, the Islamic Resistance completed its path, fulfilling the order of its Secretary-General and supreme martyr, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, may his noble secret be sanctified, and the banner-bearer after him, His Eminence Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem, may God protect him. It continued its pledge and jihad for more than 13 months, and was able to achieve victory over the delusional enemy that could not undermine its resolve or break its will. The word was for the field, whose pure, mujahidin men, who relied on God Almighty, were able to bring down its goals and defeat its army, and they wrote with their blood their steadfastness and perseverance in the battles of Tufan al-Aqsa and Ula al-Bas.
On this glorious occasion, the resistance declares the following:
• The number of Islamic Resistance operations since the launch of Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa on 10-8-2023 has reached more than 4637 military operations (declared) over 417 days, at a rate of 11 operations per day.
• Among these operations are 1666 various military operations since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and the launch of Operations First of Bravery on 09-17-2024, at a rate of 23 operations per day. These operations targeted the sites, barracks and bases of the Israeli enemy army, and Israeli cities and settlements starting from the Lebanese-Palestinian border to beyond the city of Tel Aviv, and also included heroic confrontation of the enemy forces’ ground incursions into Lebanese territory.
• Within the framework of the “Uli al-Baas” operations, the Islamic Resistance carried out 105 military operations within a series of qualitative Khaybar operations, through which it targeted dozens of strategic and sensitive military and security bases, which were targeted for the first time in the history of the entity, using qualitative ballistic and precision missiles, and qualitative suicide drones, which reached beyond Tel Aviv, 150 km deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories.
• The cumulative toll of losses incurred by the Israeli enemy army since it announced the start of the ground advance into Lebanese territory on 10-01-2024 until the date of issuing this statement is:
- More than 130 soldiers and officers were killed and more than 1,250 were wounded.
- Destroying 59 Merkava tanks, 11 military bulldozers, two Hummer vehicles, two armored vehicles, and two personnel carriers.
- Shooting down 6 Hermes 450 drones, 2 Hermes 900 drones, and a quadcopter.
It should be noted that this tally does not include the Israeli enemy's losses in military bases, sites, barracks, settlements, and occupied cities.
The Islamic Resistance Operations Room confirms the following:
• Throughout the Israeli enemy army’s ground operation inside Lebanese territory, and since 10/01/2024, and due to the steadfastness of our Mujahideen in the field, the attempts of the enemy forces that penetrated to occupy and establish themselves in any of the towns of the first line of the front did not succeed - noting that these towns had been exposed to attacks since the beginning of “Al-Aqsa Flood” - nor did they succeed in establishing a military and security buffer zone as the enemy had hoped, nor were they able to thwart the launching of missiles and drones on the occupied interior; and until the last day of the aggression, our Mujahideen continued to target the enemy’s depth from within the border towns.
• The second phase of the ground operation was nothing more than a political and media announcement, as the enemy was unable to advance to the towns of the second line of the front, and suffered heavy losses in Khiyam, from which it withdrew three times, and in Ainatha, Taloussa, Bint Jbeil and Qawzah. The only attempt to advance was to the towns of Bayyada and Shamaa in the western sector, which became a graveyard for tanks and elite soldiers of the enemy army, who withdrew from it under the blows of the mujahideen.
• The resistance’s defensive plans are based on the Buqa’i defense system. The resistance has prepared more than 300 defense lines south of the Litani River, and each spot was at the highest level of readiness in terms of personnel, equipment, and capabilities. What happened in Al-Bayada and Al-Khiam is the best evidence.
• The Islamic Resistance Operations Room confirms that its fighters from various military specialties will remain fully prepared to deal with the Israeli enemy’s ambitions and attacks, and that their eyes will continue to follow the movements and withdrawals of the enemy’s forces beyond the borders, and their hands will remain on the trigger, in defense of Lebanon’s sovereignty and for the sake of the dignity and honor of its people.
