Najua kwa Tanzania na Congo mzigo unaopita hapo msa haufiki hata 1% ya mzigo wote unaopita hapo. Hawa mazuzu hata huko bandari ya mombasa japo ipo kwao ila hawajawahi kukanyaga huo kuiona efficiency na capacity yake. Wanasoma figures za jubilee tu kwenye makaratasi. Kwa Oil jety na Vehicles clearance hawawezi kufika viwango vya DSM Port. Ni Upande wa Containers tu huwa wanatuzidi ila napo sio kwamba wana mzigo mkubwa sana kuliko sisi. kunakuwaga na data za TICTS ambazo huwa hazijumlishwi kwenye cargo volumes ya DSM port.

Budaa, we dont rely on mere words from cheap tabloids, twende kwa facts. Msa port haina nchi inayo serve for 100% of its imports. Uganda ndio kidogo anatumia hiyo port sana. Somalia wana bandari yao consignment inayopita msa kwenda Somalia labda ni misaada ya usaid, S.Sudan ni failed state haina mzigo wa maaana. Burundi 100% anatumia DSM port na pia eastern Congo na Rwanda.

Sasa nyinyi huo mzigo wenu mkubwa hivyo unakwenda wapi? Speaking of export tuna korosho na ufuta, shaba ya Zambia na Congo, Magogo na timber products from TZ, Malawi, Congo, Zambia and Zimbabwe, Mineral concentrates. Cargo volume for exports iliyopo DSM port ni kubwa kuliko Msa port.

Sasa niambie, hizo figures za mzigo wa hapo msa inazitoa wapi?

Hata hii comment yako ni maneno tu, figures zipo wazi kwenye mada ya uzi huu. Ukiacha kujitia hamnazo unaweza ukapata 'break down' ya takwimu rasmi mitandaoni kwenye site ya KPA. Sijui leo utasema mnaonewa na nani, maanake mabeberu wenu wapendwa hawahushki kwenye masuala haya.

Porojo tu hizi hamna figures, taja hizo big exports zinazopita hapo msa port. Pia sema nchi zinazoitegemea sana hiyo bandari kwa imports hadi mzigo mkubwa hivyo upite hapo.

The performance of Mombasa port last year was recorded at 34.4 million tonnes of cargo while all the Tanzanian ports combined recorded a total of 17.2 million tonnes of cargo. In Tanzania, the leading port by performance was port of Dar es salaam which recorded a total of 16,405,000 tonnes followed by Tanga which recorded 619,000 tonnes and finally Mtwara that did 270,000 Tonnes.

Kwanza tuko na 3 years head start kwa mambo ya SGR. We have already fixed all the teething problems na saa hii SGR inachapa kazi bila mchezo. Upee Mkenya 3 years headstart halafu umfikie? Wapi? These guyz will always play catch up.
