The Book on Purification
Abu Sa'eed AI-Khudri narrated:
"It was
said, 'O
Allah's Messenger! Shall we use the
water of Buda'ah well to perform ablution while it is
a well in which menstruation rags, flesh of dogs and the putrid are dumped?"
Allah's Messenger said: 'Indeed
water is
pure, nothing makes it impure.'"
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، وَغَيْرُ، وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ بِئْرِ بُضَاعَةَ وَهِيَ بِئْرٌ يُلْقَى فِيهَا الْحِيَضُ وَلُحُومُ الْكِلاَبِ وَالنَّتْنُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ لاَ يُنَجِّسُهُ شَيْءٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ . وَقَدْ جَوَّدَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فَلَمْ يَرْوِ أَحَدٌ حَدِيثَ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ فِي بِئْرِ بُضَاعَةَ أَحْسَنَ مِمَّا رَوَى أَبُو أُسَامَةَ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَائِشَةَ .

The Book of Water
It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri
said:
"It was
said: 'O
Messenger of
Allah, you perform Wudu' from the well into which the bodies of dogs, menstrual rags and garbage are thrown?' He
said: '
Water is
pureand it is not made impure by anything.'"

The Book of Purification and its Sunnah
It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas that :
On the night of the Jinn the
Messenger of
Allah said to Ibn Mas'ud: "Do you have
water?" He
said: "No, only some Nabidh in a large
water skin." The
Messenger of
Allahsaid: "Good dates and
pure water." (i.e. there is no harm from the mixing of the two.) Pour it for me." He
said: "So I performed ablution with it."
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ لاِبْنِ مَسْعُودٍ لَيْلَةَ الْجِنِّ " مَعَكَ مَاءٌ " . قَالَ لاَ إِلاَّ نَبِيذًا فِي سَطِيحَةٍ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " تَمْرَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَمَاءٌ طَهُورٌ صُبَّ عَلَىَّ " . قَالَ فَصَبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ بِهِ .
