Let us look at John 10:30 "I (Jesus) and the Father are One." This verse is severely misunderstood and is taken out of context, because beginning at verse John 10:23 we read (in the context of 10:30) about Jesus talking to the Jews. In verse John 10:28-30, talking about his followers as his sheep, he states: "...Neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father who gave them me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are One."

These verses prove only that Jesus and the Father are one in that no man can pluck the sheep out of either's hand. It does not at all state that Jesus is God's equal in everything. In fact the words of Jesus, " My Father, who gave them me is Greater than ALL...," in John 10:29 completely negates this claim, otherwise we are left with a contradiction just a sentence apart. All includes everyone even Jesus.


Also let us look at verse John 17:20-22 "That the ALL may be made ONE. Like thou Father art in me, I in thee, that they may be ONE in us. I in
them, they in me, that they may be perfect in ONE". In this verse, the same word ONE used, the Greek, HEN is used, not only to describe Jesus and the Father but to describe Jesus, the Father and eleven of the twelve disciples of Jesus. So here if that implies equality, we have a unique case of 13 Gods.

Of the verse in question, "I and the Father are One" in (John 10:30), we also need to take note of the verses following the 30th verse in the text. In those verses, the Jews accuse Jesus falsely of claiming to be God by these words. He however replies, proving their accusation wrong by their own text: "The Jews answered him saying,'For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy, and because that thou being a man, makest thyself a God '" (John 10:33).

Jesus replies to this accusation saying: "Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in your Law, "I said ye are gods. If He can call them gods, unto whom the word of God came, say ye of him whom the Father hath sanctified and sent into the world, "Thou blasphemeth," because I said I am the son of God?'" (John 10:34-36).

Let us look at Acts 2:22 "O you men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a MAN approved of God among you..." Peter in the Book of Acts testifies about Jesus. Jesus thus even to his disciples, as to early Christians, not poisoned by Pauline doctrine, was a man, not a God.

Katika Injili ya Yohana ananukuliwa Yesu kusema:
Mimi nawaombea hao; siuombei ulimwengu; bali hao ulionipa.

Tukiyachungua vilivyo maneno ya Yesu kama yalivyosimuliwa na Mathayo na Marko ya kuwa yeye alitumwa kwa kondoo waliopotea wa nyumba ya Israili, na maamrisho yake yalio wazi kuwapa "mitume" wake wasende kwenye mataifa mengine isipokuwa Mayahudi tu, na kuwa yeye na wanafunzi wake kumi na mbili watakaa katika viti vyao vya utukufu wakizihukumu kabila kumi na mbili za Israili katika ulimwengu mpya wa mbinguni, hatuwezi ila kuhukumu kuwa hao watu anaowaombea Yesu ni hao hao waliokwisha tajwa kabla, yaani wana wa Israili, sio ulimwengu, sio mimi na wewe.

Mimi na wewe si Wana wa Israili. Mimi na wewe ni mataifa mengine. Mimi na wewe na ulimwengu, usiokuwa wa Kiyahudi, Yesu kesha sema hatuombei, ikiwa tutakubali maneno yaliyoandikwa katika Injili zote.
 


Does Baptizing prove Trinity?

Let us look at Mathew 28:18-20 "And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: All authority (from GOD) has been given me in heaven and on the earth. Go therefore and make disciples of people of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father (God), the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit (GOD's inspiration), teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things."

Here in this verse we have few points that Trinitarians often confuse.

Trinitarians use this verse very heavily to try to prove that Jehovah or Allah is 3 in 1, meaning that GOD is the father + Jesus + The Holy Spirit.

This claim is a false one, because when Jesus said in Mathew 28:18-20 ".....All authority (from GOD) has been give to me in heaven and on the earth...." it clearly shows that Jesus had a stronger or higher power over him. One has to ask himself a very simple question here: How can GOD say that GOD had given him authority? It doesn't make any sense, does it?

Also, when Jesus in Mathew 28:18-20 said ".....baptizing them in the name of the Father (God), the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit (GOD'S inspiration)...." he didn't say go and baptize people in my name (Jehovah). He mentioned his GOD first, then himself (GOD'S messenger), and in GOD's inspiration (The Holy Spirit). This clearly disproves the claim that GOD IS THREE = GOD+JESUS+HOLY SPIRIT.

Also, when Jesus in Mathew 28:18-20 said "......teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you....." well of course Jesus's disciples needed to teach people from what Jesus taught them !!!. Jesus was GOD's messenger, and God's favorite "Son" at that time. GOD had inspired Jesus with all the teachings that people need to go and preach worshiping Jehovah, love and harmony to all people.

Also, when Jesus said in Mathew 28:18-20 ".....And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things." he (Jesus) was referring to the Holy Spirit that GOD will send to Jesus's disciples through either Jesus's inspiration or GOD's inspiration to them. This also doesn't prove that Jesus is Jehovah or Allah. We must keep in mind that Jesus was not a normal human being. He was the King of all Kings and the Lord of all Lords as stated above in (Revelation 19:16 . He had power from GOD, and he was GOD's favorite "Son" at that time. Jesus had the power to inspire his followers through GOD's Power, because GOD allowed him to do that.

The Quran describes Allah as the best deceiver there is, a liar who is not above using the same evil and wicked schemes of his opponents.

For example, the Quran calls Allah a makr, in fact the best makr there is:

The word for deception/deceiver/scheme is makr.

The Quran unashamedly calls Muhammad’s god the best liar and deceiver of them all! It even dares to say that ALL deception belongs completely to Allah:

The Biblical God As a Deceiver

You won't hear enough of Christian missionaries arguing that the Qur'an describes Allah as plotting and deceiving (refer here).
So I think it is only fair if we return them the favor and show how the God of the Bible is a deceiver, thus by the Christian missionary criteria the Biblical God is an immoral God and should not be worshipped.

Then I said, "Ah, Sovereign LORD, how completely you have deceived (nasha) this people and Jerusalem by saying, 'You will have peace,' when the sword is at our throats."

The word for deceived here is nasha, which means...

1) to beguile, deceive

John Gill states in his commentary...
surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem:
what the false prophets did, that God is said to do, because he suffered them to deceive the people; (John Gill, The New John Gill Exposition of the Entire Bible, Commentary on Jeremiah 4:10, Source)

The New Bible commentary states...
Jeremiah is not indifferent to the message, which he is called to preach. In v 10 a note is struck to which he will return in relation to himself (15:18). In his distress he accuses the Lord of having deceived the people, presumably by having allowed false prophets to convince them with a message of peace (cf. 6:13-14). The only reply is the Lord's own confirmation that judgment is sure. (New Bible Commentary)

Even though it was really the false prophets who did the act of deception, the Bible is actually shifting the blame to God for actually allowing the false prophets to do the deception. This is what the "inspired" author Jeremiah said and this is what we got to accept. God deceived innocent people.

It seemed that people were so bothered with Jeremiah's ascription of deception to God that they had to reword the sentence so that deception is ascribed to the false prophets instead.


Ah, Lord God! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people
The Targum paraphrases this verse thus: "And I said, Receive my supplication, O Lord God; for, behold, the false prophets deceive this people and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace." The prophet could not reconcile this devastation of the country with the promises already made; and he appears to ask the question, Hast thou not then deceived this people in saying there shall be peace, i.e., prosperity? (Adam Clarke, The Adam Clarke Commentary, Commentary on Jeremiah 4:10, Source)


We have it in...

1 Kings 22:20-22

20 And the LORD said, 'Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?'
"One suggested this, and another that. 21 Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD and said, 'I will entice him.'
22 " 'By what means?' the LORD asked.
" 'I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,' he said.
" 'You will succeed in enticing him,' said the LORD. 'Go and do it.'

Here we see that the man said that he would resort to lying in order to entice Ahab and God supported the idea and told him to go ahead and do it!

I personally have no moral objections to this since I believe God could at times use means of deception in order to ensure the greater good and to use deception against evil. However, Christians don't allow this when we talk about Allah deceiving evildoers in the Qur'an. These are double standards.

Ezekiel 14:9-11

9 " 'And if the prophet is enticed to utter a prophecy, I the LORD have enticed that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel. 10 They will bear their guilt-the prophet will be as guilty as the one who consults him. 11 Then the people of Israel will no longer stray from me, nor will they defile themselves anymore with all their sins. They will be my people, and I will be their God, declares the Sovereign LORD.' "

God is punishing him for a crime that He enticed him to do in the first place? Isn't that entrapment?


Another passage...

Isaiah 37:6-7

Isaiah said to them, "Tell your master, 'This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid of what you have heard-those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. Listen! I am going to put a spirit in him so that when he hears a certain report, he will return to his own country, and there I will have him cut down with the sword.' "

God had that spirit spread a rumor so that the King of Assyria can to return to his homeland. In short, that spirit's purpose was for deception.

Another example from the Bible...

Isaiah 19:14

The LORD has poured into them a spirit of dizziness; they make Egypt stagger in all that she does, as a drunkard staggers around in his vomit.

Here we see God deceiving people to the extent that they become absolutely foolish.

Even though I don't believe the Gospels teach that Jesus taught he was God, however this example is for those who believe that Jesus is God. Jesus admits that he was speaking figuratively all this time...

John 16:25

25"Though I have been speaking figuratively (paroimia), a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father.

The word paroimia could mean...

1) a saying out of the usual course or deviating from the usual manner of speaking
a) a current or trite saying, a proverb
2) any dark saying which shadows forth some didactic truth
a) esp. a symbolic or figurative saying
b) speech or discourse in which a thing is illustrated by the use of similes and comparisons
c) an allegory
1) extended and elaborate metaphor

Why wasn't Jesus speaking in a normal and clear way all the time? Why did Jesus then go and say that he won't 'use this kind of language'?

Well, here we find out why...

Mark 4:10-12

10When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables. 11He told them, "The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables 12so that," 'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!'


So here we see that Jesus was deceiving certain people by speaking in parables so that they won't (and God forbid!) REPENT AND BE FORGIVEN!

So God will delude people so that they can believe lies?




Now Christians would argue back and ask us Muslims to understand the context and reasons why God did such a thing. However, when we tell Christians to do the same thing when it comes to analyzing certain Qur'anic verses they don't want to do it. So why should us Muslims?

(Yesu) akwaambia, Ndivyo ilivyoandikwa, kwamba Kristo atateswa na kufufuka siku ya tatu; na kwamba mataifa yote watahubiriwa kwa jina lake habari ya toba na ondoleo la dhambi, kuanza tangu Yerusalemu. Nanyi ndinyi mashahidi wa mambo haya. Na tazama, naweletea juu yenu ahadi ya Baba yangu; lakini kueni humu mjini, hata mvikwe uwezo utokao juu.
Luka 24.46-49

Na Injili ya Marko inasema:

(Yesu) akawaambia, Enendeni ulimwenguni mwote, mkaihubiri Injili kwa kila kiumbe.
Marko 16.15

Je, imekuwaje?
Yesu ni kigeugeu?
Mbona huku anawakataza wanafunzi wake wasende kuwahubiria ila kabila kumi na mbili za Israili, na huku anawaambia nendeni kuwahubiria Injili ulimwengu mzima.
La, Yesu si mbabaishi, wala si kigeugeu.
Hebu natuziangalie vilivyo hizo amri mbili, moja ya kuwa mafunzo yake wasifunzwe ila wana wa Israili tu, na ya pili ni hii ya kuwa watu wote wafunzwe dini.

Vipande vyote vitatu tulivyonukulu mwishoni havitaji mambo ya Yesu alipokuwa na maisha yake ya uhai wa kidunia, lakini vyaeleza mambo yaliyotukia baada ya "kufufuka kutoka wafu" kama inavyosimuliwa na Injili zote tatu.
Yajulikana kuwa Injili ya mwanzo kuandikwa ni Injili ya Marko.
Hizo nyingine ziliandikwa baadae, na labda ujuzi wao ulitegemea hiyo hiyo Injili ya Marko.
Yajulikana vile vile kuwa maneno yote yaliyohusu kufufuka Yesu kutokana na wafu, pamoja na hayo maamrisho ya kwenda kuihubiri Injili "kwa kila kiumbe", kinyume na maamrisho yake yote ya kuwa asihubiriwe ila Muisraeli tu - maneno hayo yote hayakuwamo katik Marko ya asli, bali yaliongezwa baadae.

Encyclopaedia Brittanica, nakla ya 11, jalada 17, sahifa 730, yasema ya kuwa kipande chote hicho kiliongezwa baadae, yamkini mwanzo mwanzo wa karne ya pili, kuchukua maneno yaliyopotea, au yaliyoonekana kuwa ni mapungufu.

Katika tafsiri ya Biblia iitwayo Harper's Bible Commentary inasema:

"Kama lipo jambo lolote katika uchunguzi wa Injili ambalo juu yake wataalamu wamekubaliana, ni kuwa kufika hapa (yaani Marko 16.8) Injili ya Marko inakoma. Sehemu iliyobaki ya sura (yaani 16.9-20) ndio hiyo iitwayo "Kimalizio kirefu" cha Injili. Kimalizio hicho hakionekani katika nakla za miswada ya zamani, na ambacho ni nyongeza iliyopachikwa katika karne ya pili kutokana na maongezo ya Mathayo, Luka na Matendo...ushahidi wa kale kabisa ulioandikwa juu ya Kufufuka (Yesu) haumo katika Injili bali katika barua ya kwanza ya Paulo kuwapelekea Wakorintho 15.3-8."

Maneno hayo ya Paulo aliyowaandikia Wakorintho na ndio mara ya kwanza kutajwa kufufuka kwa Yesu ni haya:

Kwa maana niliwatolea ninyi hapo mwanzo yale niliyoyapokea mimi mwenyewe, ya kuwa Kristo alikufa kwa ajili ya dhambi zetu, kama yanenavyo maandiko; na ya kuwa alizikwa; na ya kuwa alifufuka siku ya tatu, kama yanenavyo maaandiko; na ya kuwa alimtokea Kefa; tena na wale Thenashara; baadaye aliwatokea ndugu zaidi ya mia tano pamoja; katika hao wengi wanaishi hata sasa, ila baadhi yao wamelala; badaye akamtokea Yakobo; tena na mitume wote; na mwisho wa watu wote, alinitokea mimi, kama ni mtu aliyezaliwa si kwa wakati wake.
1 Wakorintho 15.3-8

Ikiwa kipande chote tangu mstari 9 mpaka mstari 20 katika sura 16 ya Injili ya Marko, kimepachikwa, basi kisa chote cha kufufuka Yesu kimebuniwa.
Mwenye kubuni kisa hichi ni Mtakatifu Paulo. Hivyo ndivyo tunavyoweza kuagua kutokana na kuisoma Biblia, kwani maandishi ya kwanza hayamo katika Injili bali yamo katika barua ya Paulo kwa Wakorintho.

Amesema Craveri katika Maisha ya Yesu:

"Paulo alijihakikishia mwenyewe kuwa ijapokuwa Yesu ni kweli alikufa, lazima awe amefufuka, akiuwacha mwili wake wa kidunia nyuma ili avae mwili wa 'kiroho'...Paulo alichanganya mawazo yake mwenyewe ya kikafiri kafiri ya Yesu kuwa na maisha mapya kwamba ni malipo yake kwa mema yake, pamoja na imani ya Kiyahudi ya kuwajibika mapatano na Yehova (Mungu) na agano la pili. Kwa hivyo Paulo akafunza kuwa ndiyo haya khasa yaliyokuwa ni kazi ya Yesu, na hicho ndicho cheo chake machoni mwa Mungu: kafara ya nafsi yake kwa utakatifu wake na kutokuwa na dhambi kwake ili afutie kwa pamoja makosa ya wote."

Ikiwa basi msingi wa hadithi nzima ya kufufuka Yesu hadi ya ubora wake ni kuwa ni ya shaka shaka - licha ya kuwa ni wazi kuwa ni ya uwongo - hapana njia ya kuamini ya Kuwa Yesu wakati wo wote katika historia aliwahi kuamrisha watu "Enendeni, mkawafanye mataifa yote kuwa wanafunzi, mkiwabatiza kwa jina la Baba, na Mwana, na Roho Mtakatifu," kwa sababu haya hakuyasema ila baada ya huko kunakoambiwa ni kufufuka.

Katika Biblia ya Kiswahili iliyo mbele yangu iliyotangazwa na The British and Foreign Bible Society 1950 kifungu cha Marko 16 tangu mstari wa 9 mpaka mwisho yaani mstari wa 20 kimetiwa katika mipinde miwili hivi ( ) kuonyesha kuwa maneno hayo hayakuwamo katika maandiko ya asli. Ilivyokuwa imethibitika kuwa hayo ya Marko si madhubuti, basi yaliyonukuliwa na Mathayo na Luka juu ya mambo hayo ya kufufuka, na kuamrisha kwenda kuhubiria watu wa ulimwengu, na kuutaja Utatu, yote hayo ni baatili.

Kwa mukhtasari tunaona kuwa Biblia inashuhudia kuwa Yesu alikuwa ni Nabii aliyetumwa na Mwenyezi Mungu kwa Waisraili waliopotea njia.

Hadithi ya kuwa aliamrisha mafunzo yake yakatangazwe kwa watu wote "kwa jina la Baba, na Mwana na Roho Mtakatifu" imebuniwa na kuongezwa mwishoni mwa Injili tatu za Mathayo, Marko na Luka.

Kadhaalika kuwa Yesu alifufuka kutoka wafu kwa njia ya kimiujiza imeongezwa, na kauli ya Utatu basi ya kuwa mafunzo yakatangazwe "kwa jina la Baba, na Mwana na Roho Mtakatifu" pia nayo imebuniwa na wala haina asli yo yote ya kweli.
