As easy as that

y+x =7............2
both equation equals to 7 so,
y^2 -x^2=y+x
devide by y+x each side of the equation
(y^2 -x^2)/y+x=1
difference of two squares provide the factorize
(y-x)(y+x)/y+x=1 simplify y+x/y+x=1
y-x=1...........3
take eqn 2 and 3
y+x=7
y-x=1
add the two eqns
2y=8
y=4
put y=4 into eqn 3
4-x=1
x=3
(x,y)=(3,4)
