Independent variable – the variable that is altered during a scientific experiment.
eg. temperature.
Dependent variable – the variable being tested or measured during a scientific experiment. eg. time taken
Controlled variable – a variable that is kept the same during a scientific experiment. Any change in a controlled variable would invalidate the results. eg. volume, mass.
Q2.
There are several erros during scientific experiment, the most common errors are;
How do you minimise the errors during the experiment
- Observational errors occur when you make an incorrect observation. ...
- Instrumental errors happen when an instrument gives the wrong reading. ...
- Environmental errors are a result of the laboratory environment. ...
- Theoretical errors arise because of the experimental procedure or assumptions
Observational errors - Technologist should well trained on how to record measurements
Instrumental errors- devices used for measuring should be accurate i.e. calibrated to measure correctly
Environmental errors - Experiments should be taken on control environment i.e. room temperature, humidity.
Theoretical errors - Use the correct formula, principles when calculating the results.
Q3. BY roughly fill the grauated measuring cylinder with measurable amout of liquid, and submerged the irregular stone, use the Archimedes principle and measure the volume of displaced liquid.
"If the body is completely submerged, the volume of fluid displaced is equal to the volume of the body."

Nakusibiri sana tena kunimaliziaaWhy Mango fall from free?
Every object that has mass does exert force that is called gravitational force, a mango fall from tree due force of gravity that attracts the mango to the earth gravitational force that cause the mango to accelerate to the ground which is approximately to be 9.8m/s^2.
Weight of Planet x = Weight on Earth/9.8ms2 x acceleration due to gravity on planet X
300N=1000N/9.8m/s x acceleration due to gravity on planet X
acceleration due to gravity on planet X = 300N x 9.8 /1000N....tafuta jibu hapa
Law that gorvern the Azam sea link to be afloat is Archimedes' principle, tafuta hii uelezee
Calculate the volume
weight = mass x gravity
newton = kg x m/s2
0.6kg m/s2=massx9.8m/s2
mass= 0.6kg m/s2/9.8m/s2 (kg) = tafuta jibu hapa....(jibu) litakuwa in kg
volume = mass/density
density of water = 997 kg/m³
volume= (jibu)kg/997kg/m³
