Hahahahaha, watakucheka watu. Leasing is only if your capital is not enough, or your business is short term, other wise in all businesses, buying your own is more profitable.
Remember leasing companies buy planes in order to make profits which would be part of profit of the company if that plane belongs to the company.

Leasing companies don't divert health and education money.
Leasing companies have economies of scale. With hundreds or even thousands of planes, they dictate the terms when negotiating with Boeing and other parts suppliers.
Leasing companies in some cases take care of the maintenance, crew, insurance etc. taking away most of the business risk from the airline.
Aircraft are evolving fast. The engine of 10 years ago consumes much more fuel than is acceptable today.
Leasing ensures that an airline is always operating the newest, most fuel efficient planes. Buying eventually leaves an airline stuck with an old fleet, full of old technology.
Tanzanians are demanding answers from their Supreme leader, who has been lying to them that ATCL is doing well.
According to the so called CAG report, it has been revealed that ATCL has in fact been hemorrhaging money, with no signs of recovery.
Kumewaka moto pale Jukwaa la Siasa.
It does not make sense. They say that they bought the planes with their own cash. Meaning the largest expense most airlines have to contend with, i.e. loans and lease repayments, is not there.
Where is the money going?
4. Etc
Hahahahaha, Airline companies which don't have their own planes are not more than 20% around the the world, 90% of them make loses.About 50% of all commercial airplanes in operation are leased. That's a lot of short-term airlines right there.
Tanzania has the best health service delivery system, and best Hospitals in this region, yet it has managed to buy 8 brand new planes.Leasing companies don't divert health and education money.

KQ has leased planes which are twenty years old, not true that leased companies enjoy economy of scale because they don't but many planes once, they just order according to their demand, or to replace one or two planes.
The bottom line is that, even if leasing companies get these planes free of charge, still they will lease them at market price because their aim is to maximize profit. Dangote his main business is cement production not transportation, but he bought about 600 semi trailers to carry cement from his plant to distributors in order to avoid leasing.
Try to understand the concept please. My point is, in any business in this world, having your own premises or Equipments is cheaper and it brings more profit than leasing or hiring them, unless it is short term project or the costs of buying them is beyond financial reach. Every business has got its uniqueness not only Airline business, but principals of business is the same.Airline business is very unique and in no way could be compared to cement manufacturing business

Cut the crap ,Kq is a loss making machine despite you have leased a lots of an airplanesThat’s not true!
Having your own premises/equipment may add unwanted operational costs and risks.
That’s why sourcing or leasing is the best option if you want to maximize profits
We've leased them from Kenyans though.Cut the crap ,Kq is a loss making machine despite you have leased a lots of an airplanes

Stick on the topicDoes UBER own vehicles?
Does AirBnB own hotels or apartments?
Stick on the topic
If tz ex pres were abt to revive ATCL up to this time we might have more than 30 airplanes , slowly but sure, another dreamliner and bombadier q400 are coming to add our fleet size, We have a deal with China ,abt 10000 tourist Chinese will visit Tz this yr so we need a dreamliner for thisATCL is a loss making machine too, despite owning the airplanes.
Also, if KQ had waited to save up and buy its own planes, it would be competing in the minor leagues with ATCL.
PorojoKQ only leases brand new planes. Dreamliners.
AerCap, the largest leasing company with over 1500 planes, currently has a pending order of 30 Boeing 787s, and many more from Airbus. This is actually one of their smallest order book. They grew from 1100 planes to 1500 in about 3 years.
So get out of here with your ''they don't buy many planes once'' nonsense.
Also, the average age of their planes is 7.7 years.
You have a very stupid logic. If Dangote can afford 600 trucks at a time, then he has created a transport company bigger than most. Why would someone with so much money take it elsewhere?
Tanzania on the other hand is a poor 4th world country that requires to divert money from healthcare to buy one plane at a time.
If you have the capital to buy 600 planes, then do it.
Big airlines and those funded by oil money don't lease as often as smaller ones. But when they make an aircraft order, they buy more than 100 planes in a go.
They are already bigger than the leasing companies.
Finally, Tanzania's healthcare is comparable to Burundi and South Sudan. Lowest doctor to population ratio, lowest life expectancy, highest child mortality.
