Thats what makes us (Tzn) unique, 98% (wabantu) one people, ONLY IN TZ! It is not by accident, Its Gods Plan! WE ARE GODs CHOSEN PEOPLE, destined for GREATNESS!
For your infor Somalia is 99.99% cushites, where are they?????

I hate Somalians....

They are in hell, because there not GODs CHOSEN and thus not destined for Greatness!
My point is, ethnicity doesnt count when it comes to anything, its all about respecting each others views, religion and culture and not enforcing anything on anyone, doesnt matter if you are 98, 99 or 100%. you just need to respect your neighbour.

i was very surprised to see kenyan and somali who lives in kenya supporting their country to go to war in Somalia because anyone with any brain would see this disaster coming, you expect Kenyan army to go and bomb alshabaab while you in kenya are enjoying and watching the war on television? alshabaab will use any means necessary to make sure Kenya doesn't have peace, and as we can see they don't have to do a lot. the problem with Kenyans they don't know who their enemy is, instead of attacking Somalians they should take their leaders accountable for taking them to war which has nothing to do with them and if your not careful your country will be another Pakistan where militia are on the loose and very soon we will hear the term kenyan alshabaab. so even if Somalia's war is over the kenyan alshabaab will carry on the fight inside kenya.

I supported war in Alshaabab and i still support because unlike you who can write long comments on the stupidity of it i can count my fellow brethren who have fallen by the gun because of lawless Somalia, Kenya has hosted the Somalia menace for so long has tried to be as neutral as we can on Somalia issues but it has come to haunt us.

There comes a time when you cannot tolerate your neighbours beating his wife even when you have no stake in their wars. You never heard the Alshaabab getting into Ethiopia and kidnapping both locals and tourists so while you were cheering what they were doing in Kenya we were getting pissed off.

I have endured life when somalia was peaceful and when it was lawless and i know how its lawlessness has contributed to a crime-ladden Kenya, even if a thousand lives are lost because of Kenya ridding out Alshaabab i will still support the action because there are thousands rotting in the grave just because we never wanted to arrest the menace sooner.

Even if alshabaab deliberately attempt to light fires, they will always meet a focused resilient security. Alshabaab are employing self defeating tactics to appear in the news, but Financially it is crippled cannot operate, conscript or network with others criminal cells, no more selling charcoal..Kenyan "Al-shabaab's" capacity to defend themselves is low and now ordinary helpless people have become their target. It has been reduced from an organized active terror cell to a sleeper unit. AS is history.

Aptly stated!

Macharia Gaitho: DAILY NATION

Turning on our Somali brothers and sisters both foolish and self-defeating

Macharia-gaitho.jpg

In Summary

  • Events in Nairobi's Eastleigh area after the Sunday grenade blast in a matatu bear this out. Howling mobs went on a rampage, targeting members of the Somali community.
  • The ****** did not stop to consider that they were only playing into the hands of extremists carrying out bomb attacks in Nairobi, Mombasa and Garissa with the aim of inciting religious and ethnic conflict.
  • As someone opined in a social media protest against mindless retaliation, not every Kikuyu is Mungiki and not every Luo is a stone-thrower. And not every Somali is Al-Shabaab.

I spend a lot time on this page excoriating the greedy, thieving, lying, rabble-rousing, ethnic warmongers who pass for leaders in this country.

But at some point, we must accept our own culpability, for we get the leaders we deserve.Mr Raila Odinga, Mr Kalonzo Musyoka, Mr Uhuru Kenyatta, Mr Musalia Mudavadi, Mr William Ruto and the whole kit and caboodle of them did not attain exalted status by themselves.

We pushed them up there because we were foolish enough to buy the lie that they are the defenders of our interests. All they did was exploit our own base instincts and herd us into the ethnic cocoons we so idiotically fall into.
It is confounding that in this day and age when we are thinking Vision 2030 and winning global plaudits for advances in communications technology, a majority of us are still stuck in the stone age.

That is why we blindly follow ethnic chieftains and obey their commands to go to war against neighbours.

It doesn't strike us as odd that the leaders incite us to war as they sit together in private members' clubs to gorge themselves, quaff wine, cut business deals and work out ethnic alliances.

The same foolish herd mentality is what makes us lash out at the slightest provocation against those of other ethnic communities or religious beliefs; even when it should be obvious that we are willingly falling into the traps set by provocateurs.

Events in Nairobi's Eastleigh area after the Sunday grenade blast in a matatu bear this out. Howling mobs went on a rampage, targeting members of the Somali community.

The ****** did not stop to consider that they were only playing into the hands of extremists carrying out bomb attacks in Nairobi, Mombasa and Garissa with the aim of inciting religious and ethnic conflict.

It is true that the Al-Shabaab menace with roots across the border in lawless Somalia, has exported its insane brand of Islamic fundamentalism to Kenya.
It is also true that the extremist Islam has gained toeholds within the Somali community in Kenya, as well as within other Islamic communities, particularly at the Coast.

However lashing out indiscriminately at Somalis is as foolish as it is self-defeating. The mad bombers must be laughing themselves silly having succeeded in turning Kenyan against Kenyan.

By all means, let us fight terrorism with no quarter asked and no quarter given. But we will do that by identifying, isolating and killing the real terrorists, not by hitting out blindly at everyone and anyone on the basis of some uneducated ethnic and religious profiling.

As someone opined in a social media protest against mindless retaliation, not every Kikuyu is Mungiki and not every Luo is a stone-thrower. And not every Somali is Al-Shabaab.

Applying ethnic and religious stereotypes to identify enemies can be a very dangerous game in a cosmopolitan country where Kenyans have mixed without borders in every corner of the country.

We have seen in the past how morally bankrupt leaders designed and executed ethnic violence programmes in the early 1990s as a weapon against the multi-party campaign. Mentally bankrupt citizens obeyed commands to take up weapons against neighbours and drive them out of their homes.

The "final solution" was seen in the ethnic cleansing of the 2007-2008 post-election violence when the discourse shifted from resettling the displaced in their supposed ancestral homelands rather than allowing them back on the lands from which they were kicked out.

This is why Kenyans must collectively wise-up and see the bigger picture rather than be confined to narrow prisms.

The Somali people, by and large are peaceful, hard-working Kenyans whom we ought to emulate. That there are a few rotten apples in their midst cannot be an excuse to demonise the whole community.

It would help, however, if they came out more forthrightly against those that despoil the community.

If extremists and terrorists have infected the community, they must be exposed and punished as individuals; just as should any criminals within the Kikuyu, Turkana, Kalenjin and other communities.

The instinct to protect "our own" must not be allowed.

Kenya has never been non commital on Somali issue but we have always believed that the somali problems are better solved by the somali people, what Kenya never did was actively engage themselves in rooting out the cancer in Somalia. Lawlessness in Somalia has contributed to the rise in armed robberies in Kenya yet kenya has hosted the biggest refugee camp in the world but we only started complaining when they brought their lawlessness here.
It is imperative to note that the Kenyan somali are the only people who doubled their population in a span of ten years yet you never saw a crackdown on them, nobody hates them its the cancer within them that we abhor.

I usually had pity always for these Somali civilians, in decades they ravaged their own country (somalia) through war and lawlessness, and are always caught between cross-fires of either discriminations or suspicion. It won't be however easy if they plan to export their effervescent-civil-war-tendancies to kenya, because unlike somalia kenya has laws passed and a constitution that guarantess for enforcement of peace when it is needed and which protects all kenyans irrespective of race tribe and religious affiliations from threats outside the borders.

JE TANZANIA TUNASUBIRI MPAKA HAWA WASOMALI WATULIPUE NDIO TUSHTUKE?

hivi kenya bado kuna wakenya wanaishi pale? nilifikiri wote wamehamia Tanzania?

huyu mwingine yupo huku Tz tena amepewa ukatibu Mkuu wa chama
