Following a claim by some sections from our neighbour that Nakuru Town beats Arusha city, it is time to iron out the facts out!

Whereas Nakuru is still a town some people r trying to compare it to the city of Arusha, the safari capital of East Africa!

Mind u, Arusha has the following:
  • Africa's court
  • Several 5 star Hotels n world class lodges
  • modern conference center
  • modern office space
  • international agency office space modern travelling agencies
  • International standards recreation centers, Museums and cultural centers
  • World class hospitals
  • serious industries like In-Brew, Pepsi SBC aside Tanelec n textiles (a to z, sunflag)
  • The most advanced lapidary industry in EA!
  • N so many others!

If you call yourself an engineer, then you know that there's no clear definition of a city and any town can become a city once the country's authority decides so. If president Samia Suluhu wakes up and decides Lindi is a city, then it'll become a city. Having said that, Nakuru is bigger and more developed than Arusha speaking as someone who's been to both towns.

In Tanzania kuna city mingi sana kama Uganda vile, observe what they call cities in Tanzania, yaani standards zao ni very low, I wonder which criteria they use, it means if we employ their criteria, kenya itakua na over 20 cities., kina Bungoma, Kakamega, kitale, machakos, Thika, Kisii, Nyeri zitakua eti ni city. Nakuru officially became a city this week after senete passed the bill, wali debate, argued, agreed, disagreed and finally they voted. In Tanzania mtu anaropokwa eti kijiji ni city because anaona vigorofa kadhaa.,
 
By Kenyan standards Tz has one city....the rest are villages and towns,mwanza,arusha combined can't even come closer to Ruaka town

I think the definition of a city in most countries is based on population.

Yani kila kitu tu wanakiita city. Nilisikia mwengine akisema Morogoro is a city. Nilisikia kucheka. Pale Uganda towns kama Jinja, Mbale et al ni cities. Lol, hapa Kenya ndio Nakuru imepewa city status Jana na Rais after all these years yet ukipeleka Tanzania it'll be the third largest. Ukiipeleka If inakuwa second largest.

Hii hapa ingekua in Tanzania itakua ni City, watakuambia wakenya hawawezi afford kujenga ama kuishi kwa hizo nyumba ume post 😂 😂 😂 , eti ni za wanasiasa ama investors,., propaganda wanazo kama zote.,
