Nyani Ngabu, here is an example of what coaches are supposed to do...the following is how one sports analyst described the third finals game between CAVS and GSW at Quicken Arena last year;
If this was a boxing match, Cleveland simply took the more polished and stylistically better fighter and turned the contest into an ugly street brawl, which gave them an opportunity to win. Cleveland was successful in imposing their will on the more talented Warriors. When Golden State wanted to jab and dance, Cleveland was able to clinch and slug it out on the inside. The result? Cleveland held a 2-1 series lead and had an opportunity, at home, to take a commanding lead.
Kerr, the GSW coach, noted this and so arranged his squad determined to turn tables against the Cleveland side the next time they met. The result? A blowout game. The CAVS were completely eclipsed and confused letting the Warriors dictate the pace of the game. This is what Coaches do and this I think is why Blatt lost his job.
