A citizen terrorist at 30 years of age eager to chest thump the
loaded police snippers, taking cover behind a security wall, to kill him is really a very scary signal that the anti government sentiments have reached boiling point.
The youth cannot take it more and they do not fear death. We have already interrogated this scenario that the end of CCM will come when under 30s fear not death then the power of the police force is finito.
What this young man has succeeded in is inspiring copycat acts in the near future. The whole episode was not to inflict heavy fatalities in the police but to send a seminal message..
Change your wicked ways or evil will keep on paying you a visit without further notice. Looks like killing presumed terrorists linked to Lindi Kibiti uprising and dumping their carcasses in the Indian Ocean has not stopped terrorists but have given them a reason to be tenacious and uncompromising to fight another day for whatever they believe in. Everybody needs to be very apprehensive, we must caution.
It started as vendetta against the police but when they see public policy remains static then politicians will also be next in their hit list and our politicians being a soft target, we have a reason to be concerned.
Our CCM political class is stubborn and arrogant but before long they will begin worrying whether they will arrive at their offices and return home in one piece not excluding whether the next day may be theirs.
Those demanding electoral justice have gone to courts but the Appeal Court being in bed [emoji933] with CCM deprived them of their basic rights: An independent NEC whose primarily condition is to vitiate the unconstitutional electoral laws which offloads the NEC's constitutional mandate to manage elections to a constitutional alien body of local governments via DEDs. Secondly, an end to illegal disqualification of the opposition candidates on unconstitutional qualifications. Third, no elections forms filling for candidates because they are sponsored by registered political parties.
Those who drool public demos have been stopped on their tracks.
With all legal means to demand basic rights of choosing the leaders we want illegally sealed off obviously domestic terrorism has found a fertile landscape to blossom and it will gain popularity which may catalyze more recruitments to our collective ire.
I am sure few will drop crocodile [emoji246] tears as a result of police fatalities save their relatives and their dependants we are afraid to discern. All this is a gratitude of the police force perpetrating injustices against its own people. The police force relationship with citizens is in the lowest ebbs and as a result few identify with the police causes.
We wish in the future similar incidents of terrorism are treated differently because a dead terrorist dies with his motives denying us a precious opportunity to know why he is against the police.
Targeting his knees or shooting him with tranquillisers may be a way to go in similar circumstances. We need him alive that we may squeeze and deep mine all the information he knows about terrorism from motives to the terror network he belongs to that we may foil his evil inclinations and of those he is aligned to in the future while addressing public policy gaps behind terror attacks.
We still need security forces to focus on people closer to the shooter to unearth more about his motives and international terrorism ties, if any, he is affiliated with. It is in public record he viva voce pleaded loyalty to Al Shabab and that he was targeting the police but is he a mere sympathiser or he is a bona-fide member? From his own words, it was transparent he had no grouses against French Embassy but his presence there was only coincidental as he was looking for the police to murder. Who were his accomplices and where did he get two guns and their ammunitions? Where did he acquire his military training? How did he arrive at the crime scene? Did he stroll there, we rule this as very unlikely, with guns from his home or somebody fetched him there in a private car - most likely - concealing his weaponry in the process from the glare of public scrutiny? We have reason to believe there are many accomplice to this tragedy. Unless these questions are adequately probed we are sitting ducks waiting to be chopped off from our perch. Once the police force backpedal to their real job instead of getting themselves distracted to the opposition sideshows we stand to have a chance of rapprochement with our real threats....
In concluding remarks, we forewarn the police in future terrorist attacks to restrain themselves from shooting the terrorist torso because it could be festooned with bombs. Had this terrorist belted with suicidal vest strung with bombs at least two or three more police would have died from an explosion detonated by their own gunshots for nearing him while shooting at his waistline.
Future terrorists are learning from this tragedy [emoji22] and the next attack will aim to inflict as much damage as they can possibly do, our forlorn hope the wayward police is also learning...
