Elections 2010 Obama Congratulates Tanzanian People, Shein but skip congratulating JK

Based on your above reasoning you have no reason to be impressed kwa kweli.
Nilidhani you are one of those who were JK party and suddenly you think US endorsement is not important.

Hahahahaaa...my friend Susu, how in the hell did you think I was a JK (and yellow and green) faithful?

But before you dismiss the people who voted for JK we should understand that some of our people are not properly educated and they have been intimidated for without CCM this country will be up in flames. So we have a long way to go..
My friend, I was upcountry for about three weeks in the lead up to the election. The conditions there are bad by any standards. It's a hard knock life out here. So If that kind of misery isn't enough education, then I don't know what it would take to 'properly educate' some of these people so they can link CCM's bad and unprincipled governance to their suffering.

This is not say that our Mh Prez JK won the election fair and square ... I believe this year was the year of change and it was halted with massive rigging, intimidation and dirty politics. We didn't know how low they can get.. but now we do...
I wholeheartedly agree with you. I believe there was rigging. Just ask yourself this;why did it take 5 whole days to announce the winner (of the presidency)? Brasil had their elections the same day as ours but their results came out the same day and it's country much bigger than ours. Plus, counting the votes doesn't require a whole lot of high tech maneuvering . It's just a matter of adding (and maybe subtracting) the votes. But it took 5 days!!!! SMDH

So you do have a heart after all. Your famous quote Miafrika Ndivyo Tulivyo makes everyone wonder whether you are not some heartless 'fisadi' (just joking)
But kudos to you , my friend for fighting for democracy! You probably had a closer look at our compatriots. But honestly I think that there was massive rigging I do not believe that so many people in villages voted for JK, it was just easier to steal the votes there.

The rigging was so obvious and so badly executed that even the blind could see. NO wonder despite his political setback at home, Obama is not ready to give even a single word of praise to him and his cohorts. Just watch the spin tomorrow in Daily News and other propaganda papers..

Mwalimu Kichuguu,

Let me be on KIkwete's defence, this was re-election hivyo hakuhitaji kupigiwa simu na Obama.....

MKuu, ingekuwa kweli kama Obama asingewapigia marais wengine after re-election :nono: .... hebu angalia ile list ya Kichuguu vizuri....

Nimesahau kukupa pole ya 'shellacking' mliyoipata kwenye midterm elections.....hehehehehehee.....Baada ya 'fire Pelosi' campaign kuwa ya mafanikio makubwa sasa attention imegeukia kumfanya Obama kuwa one term president and so far so good.....

Hahaha.. mtani wa jadi ngoja tuhame kwenye international politics ... ila Obama hatakuwa one term president.. but honestly ni lazima ajipange upya... good thing jamaa is a fast learner... nimefurahi kusikia Plouffe amerudi kumshauri he is more sober than Axelrod na definitely miles better than Rahm...

Dah!

The President spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu today. The President congratulated the Prime Minister after his swearing-in yesterday, and reaffirmed the United States' steadfast commitment to Israel and its security. The President said he looked forward to working closely with Prime Minister Netanyahu and his government to address issues of mutual concern, including Iran and Arab-Israeli peace. ## ...
Hawa hapa chini wote walikuwa relected kama ambavyo Kikwete anavyodai kuwa reelected

President Obama called Prime Minister Reinfeldt of Sweden today to congratulate the Prime Minister on his re-election. The President thanked the Prime Minister for Sweden's leadership on a broad range of issues, including Swedish support for the International Security Assistance Force mission in Afghanistan. The two also discussed the United States' and Sweden's effective collaboration against the threat from al-Qa'ida and its allies to Europe.
President Obama called Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis of Latvia today to congratulate the Prime Minister on his re-election and as part of his ongoing consultations with our NATO allies. The President thanked the Prime Minister for his leadership on a broad range of issues, particularly his role helping the Latvian economy rebound from the severe shock it faced before he took office. He also thanked the Prime Minister for Latvia's contributions to the International Security Assistance Force mission in Afghanistan and its role in the Northern Distribution Network.
President Obama called Chancellor Merkel on September 27 to offer his congratulations on her reelection as Chancellor. The United States and Germany are close allies, and partner together around the world to promote freedom, security and prosperity. The President and Chancellor Merkel agreed that with the election of a strong German government, our cooperation will further strengthen and deepen. The President looks forward to continued close cooperation .
The President spoke with President Correa yesterday to congratulate him on his recent reelection and to commend the people of Ecuador for their commitment to democracy. No; it is an exact replica of the official statement released by the White house.
Hapana, hiyo ni barua ya kidplomasia, siyo kwamba imechakuchuliwa kutoka hapo Dar, bali ni statement halisi iliyotoka white house

Well I'll be damned.

It looks like I was mistaken, Obama is stupid enough to associate himself with a corrupt leadership. What an absolute moron.

THE United States President, Mr Barack Obama, has congratulated President Jakaya Kikwete for being re-elected for the second term in office in the last month elections.
In a statement issued by the US Embassy in Dar es Salaam on Monday, President Obama says he looks forward to working with President Kikwete and members of the 10th Parliament in building on the long, fruitful partnership between the two nations to advance shared development goals and tackle the many global challenges ahead.
"I also wish to extend my congratulations to Zanzibar's President Ali Mohamed Shein, First Vice-President Seif Sharif Hamad, the new unity government and most especially the Zanzibari people, who have made history by conducting a peaceful contest after years of strife," says Mr Obama.
He has further commended the people of Tanzania on their continued commitment to a tradition of multiparty contests since it was introduced in the country in 1992.
"When we met at the White House in 2009, I said to President Kikwete the people of the United States support all Tanzanians in your efforts to institutionalise democratic, transparent governance, to realise the full potential of your Union and to ensure that the steps you have taken together toward a lasting peace and prosperity cannot be reversed," he says.
