You are missing the point here. Makonda has a great connection with the current President. He was just waiting for the right time, CCM have a very clever intelligence unit that plays with Tanzanians minds. I must say Makonda wont last that long in that position. Unless CCM decides to use violence or dirty politics because that's what Makonda is best at.

Does Makonda has the political power or carry CCM's agenda on stages? I'm bit sceptical and doubful.
