First of all i would like to heartily congratulate the 5th phase government for concerted efforts in improving infrastructure in the country. Infrastructure is indeed the backbone of any modern nations economy.

However, in as much as that is so, it is also a fact that infrastructure development should go hand in hand with human capital development, otherwise it will only lead to widening the gap between the haves and the have nots; people need to be in a position to use infrastructure to improve their economic standing otherwise the investment will be irrelevant.
So our beloved JPM finds himself in a dilemma; a chicken and egg scenario. Which should come first?

I argue that the President should prioritize human capital development (health and education) over infrastructure, while not forgetting the agricultural sector.

It will be wise to wait till you become a President in 2025 so that you can implement your ideas. This is Magufulis term and he has his own priorities. He is right, and you might be right too. Kila mtu anaamua aanzie kipi amalizie kipi. Na wote mko sahihi. Njia za kwenda songea ziko mbili. Kila mtu anaamua apitie wapi.

Picture this;
You build flyovers and the SGR and buy planes and more roads.

Mmeanza tena! How can you achieve human development without having the basic physical systems of a nation i.e communication, electric systems and transportation.
It is true, both are very crucial.
Lakini swali ni, which should have first priority?
infrastructure in a country of illiterates obviously itakuwa na very little benefits if any, and most probably itafaidi only the creme of society.
I congratulate the President for his efforts, ila I pray aweke the same emphasis on education. God knows we need education reforms in this country!

Cicero thanks, but that's like a tip of the iceberg. Can you mention just 3, orderly, objectives of his administration thus far?

One major problem of our country is having the major core issues being (mis) handled/manufactured by political parties' "partisan-ism". The manifesto stuff in wholesome is a garbage and useless.

We need a new, inclusive and relevant Constitution. We need to discuss and agree as a nation, what is our vision, what are the objectives, how do we go about achieving them, the time-frame, total resources available etc. As a people we must collectively and systematically aspire something big for us and our posterity.

Alas! If we continue waiting for one great messiah to jig wonders, we are doomed as collectively as a sinking ship.

I think the biggest problem facing us as a nation is the absence of a clear VISION that can lead us, and within this the LONG TERM and SHORT TERM plans being inclusive.

During president Kikwete's reign he tried the KILIMO KWANZA as a vision to transform agriculture into a more modernise sector of the economy and making Morogoro the Agricultural powerhub of the country but to no avail.
I do think Magufuli is on the track but should come~up with a clear implementable vision including the long term and short term plans clearly stating the priorities.

We should learn from our neighbours Kenya who in 2010 if i haven't mistaken came up with their "KENYA TOWARDS VISION 2030" and the fruits of vision 2030 can now be seen ranging from the Thika superhighway to the almost completed standard gauge railway completion, they've lowered subsidies to agricultural products and the likes, they've worked on upgrading slum like kibera etc etc etc.

So as a nation we should come up with an initiative Vision that will be our roadmap to boost our nation's development than going back to the drawing board time after time.

Kama kawaida yenu, mmeanza tena! So what are the best suggestions for running a successful government administration?

Tumeanza akina nani? Unaona shida ya kuwa paranoid!

Hujaona hapo nikiainisha mahitaji muhimu yanayotukabili kama Taifa?

Nothing new, you only play a blame game!

The comment seems rather empty as the most of opposition politicians.

Instead of congratulating the President, you are trying to play empty politics.

The private citizens are waiting for the national cake and that's it.

But you are opposing everything even projects meant for the people.

You should play leadership and not politics. There is time for politics and time for showing leadership.

Go on Masunga, you are fulfilling the old adage "give a dog a bad name and hang it".

But it is you and your party who have consistently and permanently failed the nation and killed its dreams. You have miserably failed to provide any leadership of note yet you cling on power by all weirdly treacherous means as you only know how.

Give the cap to whom it fits!

Good to hear that from you.

You're typical Swahiliman! Always complain on every single thing.

When there's no development you complain! When there's development you still find reasons to complain!

I know everyone in this nation had a reason to complain for the rampant corruption of our past government.

But now we have a President, a real President!

Instead of all those pity issues, let's come together and share thoughts and ideas to put an end to corruption and focus on prosperity.

Just for the records: Magufuli is the best President that Tanzania has ever had and he has a clear vision to his people.

This is the President who is the first to make changes and he will be the one who made Tanzania amongst the best countries in the world, if not Africa!

You attack people instead of discussing the issues on the table. If anything why didn't you do what you normally does best .....just fabricate your own thread which ticks your whims!

I could have left you alone but I chose not to, until at least I exposed your folly.

Good. Every body has his/her own priorities. Nyerere, Mwinyi, Mkapa ,Kikwete and Kikwete had their priorities and so Magufuli. Magufuli can never implement your priorities and leave his hanging around. Atakuwa rais au toy

- Unajua duniani kuna watu wanataka wao ndio wawe wanaongoza nchi kutokea nje ya IKULU,

- Wanamwamlia Rais Mteue fulani, mfukuze fulani, usinunue ndege, wekeza kwenye kilimo, weka kipaumbele fulani acha hiki, fanya hiki - Utafikiri huyo rais ni mdoli.

A president MUST be guided and ruled by the Constitution. Our problems stems from exactly what you mentioned (accidentally?).....

And a nation MUST be guided and driven by a vision and collectively by a mission but not the election manifestos, MKUKUTA etc.

We will never have a president as substitute solution to those problems. We will only experience disappointment after disappointment.

There will never be a demigod president or a politician who will miraculously ever solve those issues. FACT. Because out of our poor and outdated current constitution and laws we will always get poor and weak leadership (just as our miserable history confirms).

Finally, if you do not grasp anything from above statements, do not bother, because time will tell AGAIN.

True and we agree, but some of us were banging on about infrastructure and the forthcoming rains, nobody took notice, it was all about bashite, ndege, kukosekana kwa hela, and magufuli haters in full flow, if we had put all our frustrations on infrastructure to the concerned, maybe we could have contained some of the damages, we are so naive, forgetful and out of minds...we are harvesting what we sow, simple...and we got nobody to blame but ourselves, and next year it's going to be the same if not worse because of so called "climate change" from experts, bashite kabisa sisi...

RED: I can know grasp what you tryna say but ninachoweza kukuambia ni kwamba:

- Jifunze kula kwa jasho kama watu wengine

- Kisiasa siyo lazima upate kila kitu

That's ALL i can say

I think the most important thing is to emphasize in human capital development, there should be a great mission to improve Tanzania education system and health care then we can be able to alleviate poverty countrywide.

Mbona mimi naona vyote vinaenda sambamba? Tulikuwa na wafanyakazi hewa, akaondoa, wafanyakazi wenye vyeti feki (walimu inclusive) amesafisha etc, etc. Swear within 5 years elimu itakuwa imeboreka, wafanyakazi ktika sector zote za seerikali zitakuwa zimeboreka sana.
