POST MATCH ANALYSIS:

Real Madrid 3-1 Malaga
Another win for Real Madrid to keep the chase for La Liga title on and hope for a slip up by Barcelona in the last 6 match days.It was a vital win for us but it wasn't as simple as the scoreline suggests.Barca had earned all 3 points against Valencia today and many of the football experts were regarding this match day as the best chance for Real Madrid to go on top of the table so Real Madrid's win ensures that they won't give up till the end.

DEFENSE:
Arbeloa,Pepe,Ramos and Marcelo were the part of Real Madrid's defense in tonight's game and Varane was rested to give him some rest for the second leg of UCL against Atletico. Our defence was Ok for most part of the game but Marcelo nearly costed us 2 goals.Marcelo is not well known for his defensive skills but he has been doing very well defensively in this season.First he nearly put a goal on the plate for a Malaga player through a bad clearance by playing it in his path but we were lucky to not concede a goal thete and then his slip on the left hand side and an inch perfect cross by Malaga player costed us a goal.

MIDFIELD:
Our midfield comprised of Isco,Kroos,James and Modric tonight,a midfield that many teams in Europe can just dream about and we started well but after Modric's injury in the second half, things started to look bad for Real Madrid,Modric is like the Engine to this Real Madrid side.His work rate and fluidity in movement makes Real Madrid play that amazing passing game.I hope he can recover before the game against Atletico or it will become really hard for us to win against Atletico. James and Isco played well,James scored a superb goal in the second half to give us a 2 goal cushion, he played one-twos with both Isco and Ronaldo before striking the ball in the left top corner of the goal.

ATTACK:
Bale and Ronaldo started as our only forwards tonight in Benzema's absence.Ronaldo assisted first 2 goals of Real Madrid and scored the 3rd.His penalty had struck against the post in the second half early on.Bale was unable to carry on after just 4 minutes of play due to what appeared to be most likely a calf injury,i hope he recovers before Atletico's game but to be honest if I have to choose between Modric and Bale to be in my squad for the Game against Atletico,i would want to get Modric to recover first,he will be instrumental against Atletico.

3 points in the bag. And we hope Bale,Benzema and Modric will all have a speedy recovery.

He put in a great performance and was able to give the team the balance they needed after Málaga's goal.

No Modrić for another month. Now Isco back in starting XI. Kwahiyo sasa kwenye bench tuna Lucas, Illara na Borrat.

We really need to improve our bench next season. I hope Pérez realise that. Injury can occur at any time of the season. I hope Casemiro stays next season, Or Perez should go for a good classy midfielder like Modrić who connects Mid with the attack. Illara and Khedira are of no use. ‪#‎HalaMadrid‬

Ancelotti: "We fought hard and everyone gave all that they could"

-"Our aim is to keep La Liga alive for as long as possible"

-It was a positive game, it wasn't negative even if we had two problems with Bale and Modric.

-Kroos, Isco and James?
"They played well. James was the best, he gave a lot of quality to the side. Isco did not have such a great first half but then he played very well in the second half

"I think that he is going to play. His injury problem is improving. We have four days left and the chance to have him back fit."
