POST MATCH ANALYSIS:

Real Madrid 3-0 Almeria
Real Madrid secured an important win tonight ensuring that the 2 point difference from league leaders barcelona does not increase and won the game pretty easily despite of not being able to create too many chances in the first half. The team looked tired and out of ideas due to the midweek game.

DEFENCE:
Ramos n Carvajal were out due to the suspensions so Pepe and Arbeloa started in their positions and both of them had a very good game.Infact Arbeloa was seen running everywhere on the pitch,claiming every lose ball and fighting to win possession back every time the ball was with Almeria.Arbeloa scored a well deserved goal.Varane marshaled the defence pretty well in the absence of Ramos and Casillas and showed his authority on every Almeria attack.

MIDFIELD:
James-Kroos and Illaramendi started in the midfield with a 4-3-3 being played by Ancelotti and both James and Kroos were good but Illaramendi was poor,he was unable to defend the ball even when he had the possession and played way too many stray passes,not a good thing for a player ought to become a DEFENSIVE midfielder especially for a club of Real Madrid's class. James scored a brilliant volley,he saved Real madrid today by opening the scoring when our team looked out of ideas.He has been a great signing and if he hadn't gotten injured we would have been league leaders,but I hope we will still make it with a few match days still remaining between now and the end of the season.

ATTACK:
Jese,Chicha & Ronaldo started in attack tonight and I feel sorry to say but the old Jese has vanished somewhere, after coming back from the injury, Jese has been unable to match the level of the player he once used to be,he is just a sprinter now,he is unable to put in good crosses,complete his passes or dribble through a single player.I hope he is sent out on loan to a good league to regain his old form.Chicharito and Ronaldo kept on working hard to create moves but both of them looked tired and Ronaldo couldn't find the back of the net.This means that he is just ONE goal ahead of Messi in the Pichichi and Golden boot race with Sevilla and Valencia games coming up next.Ronaldo will need to score against both sides of them to stay in contention for the Pichichi and Golden boot because of relatively easy games for Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

Nevertheless m 3 good points earned in a midweek game.
