Awesome. That means i will have a little window for the disco.

Nataka niangalie wachezaji gani watakuwa kwenye Squad inayokwenda Cataluña, naona kuna wachezaji kama Sergio Ramos washamaliza msimu, lazima utawona wengi kwenye game Real Madrid Basket na Olimpiacos.

Sure thang, nategemea Modric, Ramos, Toni wawepo kumpa company Perez. Last year alitia huruma balaa tulipofungwa, jana kipindi cha mwisho alikuwa nervous.

Jana walikuwepo wa Atleti tu, Mario Suarez, na Arda alikuja kuwaona ndugu zake.

Huyu dogo under Carlo angepotea kabisa, jamaa hana guts za kuwapa nafasi madogo.

Ndio maana more than once alishakiri BBC hata iweje watacheza, long as wako physically fit.

David de Gea is the chosen one to be the next
Real Madrid goalkeeper. The player earmarked
by Vicente del Bosque for a "soft transition" to
replace Casillas for Spain could also be Iker's
successor at the Bernabéu.

'Los Blancos' and De Gea have agreed
comprehensive terms, but the most difficult and
tortuous part is yet to come - negotiations with
Manchester United.

At the Real Madrid offices in Concha Espina,
Florentino Pérez and those around him have
been quite clear about the fact that signing a
keeper for next season is a top priority. And
they firmly believe that De Gea is going to be
the Spanish no. 1 over the next ten years, and
will take over from Casillas in due course.

The club rates this factor very highly, that
whoever inherits the mantle from a legend such
as Iker should also be a Spanish goalkeeper,
someone who could follow in the veteran's
distinguished footsteps for club and country.

Once De Gea became aware that Real Madrid's
interest was serious, the idea of renewing his
contract with United, up in 2016, was dropped.
Since then, the shotstopper has rejected a string
of big-money offers from the suits at Old
Trafford, the last of which was worth €7.5
million a season after tax.

It is worth noting that De Gea's agent, Jorge
Mendes, has a fantastic relationship both with
Florentino Pérez and with the United owners. He
was instrumental in the talks between Real
Madrid and De Gea and now has a key role to
play to broker a transfer. The Red Devils higher-
ups do not want De Gea to go, but have had to
face the fact that the Atlético academy graduate
wants to leave. That doesn't mean they are
going to make it easy, however… or cheap.
If it weren't for his contractual situation, De
Gea, who turns 25 in November, would easily be
worth €50m, as he is viewed as one of the top
goalies in the world alongside Thibaut Courtois
and Manuel Neuer. United forked out €20m to
prise him from the Calderón in 2011 and his
stock has only risen since then. Real Madrid are
willing to pay a world-record fee for a
goalkeeper to land their man, but they remain
hopeful that they can secure his signature for
no more than €30m.

Calm and collected. No decisions in the heat of
the moment. Florentino Pérez and José Ángel
Sánchez have seen their fair share of problems
and know it's never a good idea to jump the
gun.

Inevitably, the first big decision 'Los Blancos'
have to make for the 2015/16 season is in the
dugout. Carlo Ancelotti's job is on the line and
only the full backing of the general public and in
particular the club's members in a series of
internal polls could change a decision that has
been several months in the making.

Ancelotti kept his job last term thanks to Sergio
Ramos's late goal in Lisbon, but this season the
team's dip in form since January and their shock
Champions League elimination against Juventus
may be too much to come back from. That, plus
the mistakes that saw 'Los Blancos' lose out on
another league title. Florentino's meagre return
of three La Liga titles in 12 years is greatly
concerning. That is why, barring a surprise,
Carlo will not stay on in the job. Either that, or
the club's inability to find a convincing
replacement.

Therein lies the rub. For months the president
had considered Zinedine Zidane as a viable
option, but that idea has now been shelved as
the Frenchman is not yet ready for such a big
job. Maybe he will be one day, but not now.
Zizou's record whilst in charge at Castilla (the
team failed to win promotion to Spain's second
division) and especially his handling of promising
youngster Martin Ødegaard have put paid to
that possibility. All of Florentino's advisors are in
agreement. What is not immediately evident,
however, is who else could take over from Ancelotti if the Italian does get the boot.

Karim Benzema's head dropped as he traipsed
off the pitch against Juventus. Frustration
coursed through his veins when the board went
up showing his number was up. Juve had just
scored and being unable to contribute in the
final half hour was a bitter pill to swallow.

The forward had been sidelined for a month and
had worked his socks off to be firing on all
cylinders in the Champions League semi-final
second leg, which saw Real Madrid enter the
last-chance saloon in terms of saving their
campaign. His knee responded well and he felt
he had plenty of gas left in the tank, so he was
naturally put out when hauled off as the first of
Carlo Ancelotti's substitutions.

Ancelotti's view was that Benzema had begun to
look jaded, which is why he replaced the
Frenchman with Chicharito. It is worth adding,
however, that taking off the former Lyon man
seems to have become the coach's default
setting as he knows that the 27-year-old seldom
complains and always takes one for the team.

Benzema has been subbed 21 times in La Liga
this term, far more than any other Real Madrid
player. By way of contrast, Gareth Bale has only
made way on seven occasions, while Cristiano
Ronaldo has just twice been taken off. The
France international also tops the substitution
charts in the Champions League, having been
replaced six times in this season's tournament.

Like any other Real Madrid fan, Florentino
Pérez is devastated.

Crashing out to Juventus despite leading 1-0 at
half time - a result which would have sent Real
Madrid through to the final in Berlin - left a
bitter taste in the president's mouth. He
believes they lost a perfect opportunity to
make history as the first club to ever win two
consecutive Champions Leagues.

However, the Real Madrid president is not one
for acting rashly. Florentino is going to mull it
over in his head for ten days before starting to
make any decisions on the make-up of next
season's squad, as well as the manager who will
lead them.

Florentino has had a rough time of it since
January. His team were knocked out of the
Spanish Cup by Atlético, were thrashed 4-0 at
the Calderón, had the fright of their life against
Schalke at the Bernabéu, were beaten at home
by Valencia and knocked out of the Champions
League by Juventus .

The president has the utmost respect and
affection for Carlo Ancelotti, the man he
pursued for several years. However, Florentino
knows that the results have been poor this
season and maybe it is time for a change in
the dugout.

In any case, there will be no decisions on
departures or new signings until the campaign is
over and done with. The president wants his
team fully focused and committed to the club
for the last two games they have left until the
end of the league season.

exit.

Basketball comes to Madrid's rescue

Basketball comes to the rescue for Real Madrid at an opportune moment. Elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Juve and with the league title chances having slipped away, the club is still hurting. At present the qualification for Sunday's final of the Euroliga occupies the main attention. The final will take place in Madrid against the team, that at least on paper were the underdogs, Olympiakos. They overcame, CSKA Moscow, the richest team in Europe and this was seen as a good omen. Madrid had to overcome Fenerbahçe, and did so with an incredible second quarter which pretty much ended the contest. The remainder of the game was merely a question of maintaining that advantage.

Basketball comes to rescue Madrid, so they say. This was the foundation, when during the seventies, Raimundo Saporta and Pedro Ferrándiz constructed a formidable team. In football, time had caught up with Di Stéfano and Puskas and the run of European Cups had ended. With a limited budget, two Americans who couldn't find room in the NBA and a group of skillful and motivated Spanish players, Madrid went on to continue to win European Cups, thanks to basketball. With the help of national television, TVE, they took basketball from being an underground sport to being a national favourite. That was a major factor.

The current team, coached by Laso has a similarity with that great side, in their style of play and high points scoring over the negative ‘controlled basketball', which has done much harm to the sport. This current team doesn't just win games, but is great to watch, is contagious and fills arenas. The team has been built with patience, overseen by Juan Carlos Sánchez and Alberto Herreros, with sensible signings, making practical changes and with a respect for the team coach. This is Madrid's third consecutive final. For their good work, I feel it's now time to reap the rewards. But first they'll have to overcome the infamous Spanoulis...

"…until the figures show there's no hope"

Carlo Ancelotti
has assured that Real Madrid "will give it our all until the figures show that there's no hope".

League game against Espanyol: "We know that it is an important game; we have to bounce back after Wednesday's match. The team have trained well and we are focussed on tomorrow's game."

Looking back on the season: "I am proud of this team. We have given our all. The final analysis will be carried out at the end of the season. The league isn't over yet. We'll talk again after these two games."

To continue or not to continue: "I understand that people are interested in my future, but our perspective is different. There are still two games to go and we have to do our best because we are still in with a chance. We have to graft and fight hard in these two games. Then there will be time to talk about the future."

Support from Florentino: "He spurs us on; he has urged us to play our last two games well and that is what we are going to do."
Relationship with the players: "We have been working together for two years now and my relationship with the players is a close one. It always will be; we have such trust in each other and such respect that it will always be this way."

Bale: "He has performed well, he has had some good moments when the team was on a roll and a harder time of it when the team was not doing so well. He has had a few minor problems but has become more used to playing with the team."

Real Madrid plan to sell Jesé

Real Madrid plan to sell Jesé this summer. There has been a degree of dissatisfaction with his performances after his return from injury and it’s felt that playing time away from the Santiago Bernabéu is the best option for the player. It’s also felt that by continuous playing, the Canary Islander can recover his confidence and optimum fitness. A deal is being sought with a similar clause to that of Dani Carvajal and Morata, whereby the club will insert a preferential buy-back clause which would facilitate a potential future return to the Bernabéu.

The forward has just played 575 minutes in the 3.150 have completed since his return from injury, just 18%. This situation has not been well received by the forward who confessed to his close sources that his aim is to leave Real Madrid in the summer. Jesé is a fiery character and made his annoyance with Ancelotti clear when he only played for one minute during the game against Elche. He reacted in a similar manner when he spent the whole second half of the game against Rayo warming up and eventually ended up not being used by the Italian coach. These are situations that point to an exit from the club this summer.

The only potential obstacle for an exit for Jesé is Carlo Ancelotti. “The situation is clear: Jesé is going to stay here”, he affirmed on April 25th. The Italian coach is a believer in the player’s ability and also feels that the dip in form is due to the psychological impact a serious injury can have on a player. With the future in doubt for the coach at the club it will be difficult for him to change the idea of both Madrid and Jesé himself...

Cheryshev not to stay at Madrid after loan expires at Villarreal

Denis Cheryshev, will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season when his loan deal with Villarreal expires. Despite his excellent season under Marcelino Toral, Real Madrid’s sporting directors have no plans for the Russian born player to remain at the Bernabeu.

Despite the original intention, which would have seen the player featuring in the 2015/16 campaign for Madrid, the feeling has changed and Madrid want to take advantage of the players his stock after a successful season at Villarreal, where the player has featured in 40 games, scoring on seven occasions and providing eleven assists. The plan is to now secure a fee for the player or use him as part of an exchange deal.

Cheryshev himself is accordance with this proposal and is aware that a return to Madrid could see him adopting a secondary role (as was the case with Jesé and Chicharito).

Carvajal: interest from United, Liverpool, Bayern & PSG

Some of European football’s biggest clubs have expressed an interest in securing the services of Dani Carvajal. Brazilian, Danilo’s signing from FC Porto has seen speculation mount regarding the Madrid defenders continuity at the Santiago Bernabéu and has generated interest amongst the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and PSG.

Despite these developments, the player who is out of contract in 2019 (Madrid sold him to Bayer Leverkusen in 2012 for 5 million euro and exercised their buy-back clause by re-signing the player in 2013 for 6.5 million) has stated that he wants to stay at Madrid and fight for his place in the team. “I want to give Danilo competition. I haven’t seen him play much. At Madrid we have competition with the best players and this is a motivating factor”, he commented just a week after the Brazilian’s signing was confirmed.

Carvajal has made a progressive evolution at Real Madrid. He secured a first team place in his first season, ousting Arbeloa and played 35 of the 45 games in the starting line-up. This season has been no different and he has started 35 of the 41 games for Ancelotti. Despite this, the signing of Danilo has changed the panorama and in recent times Carvajal seems to be playing with added anxiety. In the first game since FC Porto and Madid made the signing official, Carvajal was easily agitated by Mandzukic during the first leg of the Champions League quarter final match. Although he didn’t bite the Croatian player, he did hit out at him in an action that could have cost his team a penalty and his sending off.. Recent performances too, against the likes of Celta, Sevilla and in Turin where he gave away the penalty that enabled Juventus to secure a 2-1 win, his performances have been erratic. However, Carvajal has made his mind up: he wants to stay at the club and compete for the right back position with Danilo.

“I feel fine physically but what matters
most is that the team are focused”, he said.

Gustavo Ayón accompanied Pablo Laso
in the pre-match press conference
ahead of the Euroleague final. The
Mexican player stated: “It is a great
honour for be to be playing in this Final Four.

This is my first season playing in the Euroleague
and my first time to reach the Final Four.
We've worked hard all season for this and the
team have shown 100% commitment to get this
far”.

“Now we have the chance of winning the title
so we have to make the most of it. Standing in
our way are Olympiacos so we'll have to put in
a perfect performance if we want to be
crowned champions”.

“From the moment I got here there's been talk
about winning the Euroleague and now we
intend to accomplish that mission. We've
succeeded in the other two competitions and
now we have to give it our all for this one,
which is the most important of all the titles.
The experience of my team-mates will play an
important role in this game”.

“This is a new experience and I believe I can
bring a lot to the team. I've worked hard to
ensure the team play to their full potential.
This is all new to me and I hope it's a different
experience. It has been a long season. I feel
great physically but what matters most is that
the team as a whole are in good shape”.

“We have really good chemistry on and off the
court. That is really important for moments like
this and I'm certain we'll use that to our
advantage. Since signing for Real Madrid my
level of excitement has grown by the day and
I'm going to give it my all to win the
Euroleague”.

“The team are really optimistic and focused.
That is what matters most of all. With regards
to the game, whether the points tally is high or
low, what really matters is that we play with
intensity and as a team. Other people can
worry about the stats but the fundamental
thing is the team”.

I hope wale vichaa wa Bernabeu watasikia na kujifunza Liverpool walichomfanyia Gerrard, ili waache whistles kwa San Iker.

This will be the third time the Whites have
met Olympiacos at this stage (Sunday,
8pm CEST).

Real Madrid will play their 17th
European Cup final on Sunday, 8pm
CEST.

The opponents will be Olympiacos , who they have faced
before on two occasions for the continental
title. Back in the 1994/95 season, in the
Pabellón Príncipe Felipe in Zaragoza, the Whites
lifted their eighth European Cup after beating
the Greeks 73-61. The star man that day was
Arvydas Sabonis, who notched up 23 points.

The second encounter between the sides was at
the conclusion of the 2012/13 season, in the O2
Arena in London, where the Real Madrid lost
100-88 and were beaten to the championship
trophy.
