POST MATCH ANALYSIS:


Final Results: Real Madrid 3 0 Celta Vigo

Real Madrid registered its 18th consecutive victory tonight ,equalling the record of Barcelona in 05/06 season. Ancelotti has to be given the credit for Real's winning streak. This is not easy to achieve with a team that had lost twice in La Liga in first 3 match days but the Boss proved himself the right man for the job and that's the reason why the hierarchy of Real Madrid board is looking to extend his contract for two more years.

Coming towards the match,this Celta Vigo side is not easy to defeat as they have already stolen points from big guns of La Liga like Barca and Atletico in recent weeks. But again Real Madrid proved why it is the best club in Europe.Celta's defending and pressing has got to be praised here,they played really good football tonight except for some mistakes in.the second half.

DEFENSE:

Real's defence was pretty decent tonight as usual.Casillas had a quite n comfortable night today.Celta didn't actually produce too many goal scoring chances and their attack was shut out by our back four.Carvajal was shown a yellow for complaining about not booking Celta's defender for fouling him when he was breaking forward for a counter attack.

MIDFIELD:

Real's midfield had a new face tonight,Asier Illaramendi.He was played in place of Isco who was out due to a suspension and in my honest opinion he was good in a defensive role tonight, he blended well in the midfield and provided a vital pivot between the back four and the attack.James & Kroos were very good as they usually are.James was subbed in the second half.He asked to be substituted after some unease in his left leg.He was fouled in the first half n looked uncomfortable after that.

ATTACK:

Our attack seemed a bit tired today, Bale and Benzema were rusty tonight.Bale's crossing was really poor today,he is off colour these days.Constant hard work and continuous matches to be played seem to be taking a toll on our players.But the bright side of today's match is that Ronaldo was spot on again,he scored a hattrick after opening the scoring with a controversial penalty and scored two good goals afterwards.
His 3 goals were good enough for Real Madrid to win us 3 points.
