Modric said in his recent interview that he is not going to push himself and will be back for important games. Doctors are recommending him to play again in mid February.
 
Congratulations to Luka Modric who has been named Croatian Player of the year

For the second year in a row Luka Modrić has won the ‘Football Oscar' for the best Croatian footballer…The ‘Football Oscars' were held last night at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb, with Modrić picking up the main award of the nght. The best player in the Croatian league went to Rijeka's striker Andrej Kramarić, whilst the best young player in Croatia was won by Chelsea's new signing Mario Pašalić, who played for Hajduk Split this season. Goalkeeper of the year went to Rijeka's Ivan Vargić, whilst his coach Matjaž Kek won coach of the year. (pic: HNS)

Fabio Capello (Former Real Madrid and current Russian national team coach): "This Real Madrid team will define an era."
"They are going to define an era," the current Russia boss told Marca at the Globe Soccer Conference in Dubai.
"They have a great defence, a midfield that can play football as well as put in the miles and a frontline that scores goals for fun.
"Carlo has done a great job. There is no better strategy than instilling calm and not talking about others. The players come first.
"This team and Pep Guardiola's Barcelona are not comparable. Barcelona had six or seven home-grown players while Real have built a great team thanks to Florentino Perez and signing well. It is a different style."
When asked to pick a favourite to win the Champions League this season, Capello replied: "Real Madrid, followed by Chelsea and Bayern Munich."

According to online voting Cristiano Ronaldo has won the Globe soccer player of the year with 31% of the votes the award will be awarded today in Dubai
The ten candidates are Cristiano Ronaldo , Leo Messi , Wayne Rooney, Andres Iniesta, Gareth Bale, Neymar Jr., Mesut Özil, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Raúl González and Ricardo Goulart.
He has won every individual awards this season where he was nominated.. (major)

Real Madrid face the Italian side on Tuesday in Dubai.

Carlo Ancelotti has called up 22 players for Real Madrid's friendly game on Tuesday against Milan, taking place at 5pm CET (8pm local time). The match will be played in The Sevens Stadium in Dubai.

REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Casillas, Keylor Navas and Pacheco.
Defenders: Varane, Pepe, Coentrão, Carvajal, Arbeloa, Nacho and D. Llorente.
Midfielders: Khedira, Kroos, James, Bale, Illarra, Isco and M. Llorente.
Forwards: Ronaldo, Benzema, Chicharito, Jesé and Raúl de Tomás.

NEXT TRAINING SESSION:
