According to As, Lucas Silva is passing a medical in Brazil before Real Madrid confirm his move to the Spanish capital. Even though he was the only Cruzeiro player having such medical, the Brazilian club explained that this was a routine check-up, according to this same report by As.

Q. As a player who have played with and against many of the best players and greatest football talents in the world: What was your impression of the young Norwegian player Martin Ødegaard when he visited Liverpool?
– I only spent a short time with him but he certainly possesses all the tools to become a top player. He needs to keep learning and working hard now and with experience he will continue to grow.
Q. Ødegaard has been rated as one of the greatest young talents in international football. How much of his skills and talent did he get to show/prove on his short visit to your playground?
– He was only around for a few days but it was clear he had many skills, a nice first touch and is very bright and clever in possession. He has huge potential.

Q. As one of the worlds most experienced and successful players, do you have any advice to give the young Ødegaard ahead of the international career which he is about to start?
– Stay focused, keep working hard and never stop learning from the coaches and players you come up against. Surround himself with good people. Also to enjoy the journey.

– I think Madrid is a very good club for him to learn. He will be surrounded by quality that will bring the best out of his game. Madrid also have top coaches in Ancelotti and his staff.
Q. Do you have any thoughts on Ødegaard not choosing Liverpool?
– I wanted him to pick Liverpool, of course but respect his decision. I wish him all the best with his career and future.
