POST MATCH ANALYSIS:
Real Madrid 9-1 Granada
Today will be marked as the day when Real Madrid got a much needed and morale boasting win.This Real Madrid team was scoring goals for fun till the mid season but lost it's way after the winter break due to Modric's and James' injuries.Wins like these are really important for a side who is finding difficult to score goals recently.
DEFENCE:
The defence was pretty much Ok & didn't have much to do through the course of the game.Varane's tackling is great but his clearances seem inappropriate and overconfident. That's one of the things stopping him from being a regular fixture in Anceloti's side.Marcelo was amazing today,he is a real hardworker.Ramos and Arbeloa were also good.The problem in Real Madrid's defence is Casillas,he was a great keeper,he still is good,but he isn't Real Madrid quality anymore,he regularly spills the shots and good teams exploit these situations.
MIDFIELD:
James was back today and what a game he had today.Real Madrid really missed him in terms of chance creation and goal scoring. Nearly every Madrid attack went through him till he was on the pitch.Modric was magical today and Kroos was the maestro spreading balls all over the field for Real Madrid.
ATTACK:
BBC was amazing tonight and shared 8 goals between themselves with Gareth Bale opening the scoring and Ronaldo completing his hattrick in 8 minutes.Benzema scored and assisted twice after that before Ronaldo added another 2 in the end.Ronaldo scored 5 goals tonight but could have been 6 easily had ge bot missed some chances or if the Granada player had himself not tapped in the ball for an own goal to prevent it from being scored by Ronaldo who was standing unmarked on the far post.
The most important thing for RMD today was the recovery of James and the evolution of Bale.Both James and Bale looked comfortable.Bale wasn't scoring ir assisting for a long time but he scored a great goal after rounding off the keeper and finishing off with a cool head on a tight angle.Apart from scoring Bale assisted at least 2 times as far as i remember (so many goals were scored that even i have lost the assist count).So Bale continued his good form from the International break,perhaps International breaks are not only harmful, they can be a blessing in disguise for some
