Benitez hasn't really done much in the CL the last few yrs,
his win with pool is a while ago.
And i dont think its a briliant achievement to win EL with the club lyk chelsea, especialy when you look which teams they played and how they won it.
His record at napoli is poor, group stage exit in the first season and failed in qualification against a out of form bilbao side.
Doesn't make much sense for me to go after him, WE didn't win a lot of league tittle in the last few yrs, so why hire a manager who has even worse league record than carlo.

Do not be deceived, Winning the champions league is not easy regardless of the team or players at your disposal! You are just exposing yourself that you are one of chelsea haters!

Rafa thinks like Mou. Goals = Attacking Football. Winning = Beautiful Football. Who knows, no one expected Carlo to play attractive, attacking looking football, maybe Rafa will coach in a way contrary to anything he has ever done. Maybe he will prove to be a better man manager, something else he has never done before. Maybe he will have a better squad and rotate more smartly, unlike before. Maybe Flo will listen to the new coach and buy players in areas we need. Maybe he goes after Ricardo Rodríguez, and some good DM's to partner or add depth. Maybe he'll let Rafa bench Bale if he isn't clicking (just to let him reset if nothing else). Maybe maybe maybe... Beautiful football and attractive football according to whose perspective? What you call attractive may be not to someone else! For example personally I like football which features maximum engagement! that is a team with maximum attacking capability against a team with maximum defensive capability produces maximum football engagement! Before La Decima, last time Carlo won Champions League was in 2006/07 season. After that he didn't do anything major. Benitez won the Liga with Valencia in 2003/04 season, and i'm sure he woulda done great with Chelsea if he didn't inherit a team for only 6 months. Punchline is, he is way better than Carlo Ancelotti.

Only thing i will ask from Rafa is to behave, period.

Ancelotti is also a bit of a cup specialist. They're both the same age with ancelotti having won 3 league titles with ancelotti at psg, Chelsea and Milan, with and Benitez 2 at Valencia. The 3 cl's to 1 the thing that sets them apart really with Benitez failing to win the final on 3 occasions. So while ancelotti doesn't deserve the sack, it's not like they're going for Sir Alex to Moyes as some are making it out to be.

Would Carlo have achieved what Rafa has with teams that Rafa had? i highly doubt it bro. His Milan, His Chelsea, His PSG and Real Madrid were all 50% work cut off than Rafa's Valencia, Liverpool, Chelsea and Napoli, but look how far he done got. Carlo's dcik riding and roll with the flow attitude caused him trouble, there are players like Cristiano and Bale he couldn't question and that's among the things that led to his fall.

Rafa on the hand is a bit controversial, he demands control by all means, and he's got guts which any coach at la Casa Blanca needs. But we shouldn't forget that this is Real Madrid, and he's been wishing and begging to come back home for a minute, i'm sure he will compromise a whole lot, if he ends up being the chosen one that is.

Real Madrid have identified numerous potential recruits for the summer, but the fans are in no doubt as to who the top target should be: David de Gea.


The 'Los Blancos' fans are extremely keen to see the Manchester United goalkeeper between the sticks at the Bernabéu. Some 50.8% of the club members polled by SigmaDos for MARCA believe Real's first piece of business should be to pick up the man who came up through the ranks across town at Atlético.


Paul Pogba and Marco Verratti round off the top three on the supporters' wishlist. A sizeable 42.1% of those polled are keen on the Juventus star, while PSG's Italian midfielder was pinpointed by 30.5% of respondents.

De Gea has a year to run on his contract at Old Trafford, which should smooth the path for a possible exit, although the Manchester United execs have thrown down the gauntlet by demanding €40 million for a player who will be able to walk away for free in a year's time.


Nevertheless, the fact that De Gea's agent, Jorge Mendes, has agreed terms with Real Madrid will likely force United to sit down at the negotiating table. A deal for Danilo ended up being done for €31m in similar circumstances, with the Brazilian also having a season left on his contract at Porto.
