I saw a classified ad on some paper and am buying land in taita ....you seem to know the place well....hope i will like it there........anyway......am really stunned the largest land owners in Kenya also happen to be the laziest farmers in Kenya land remains idle their whole lifetime juu wana priorities zingine alafu the middle agric papis wale wa between 300-10,000 acres ndio wanafanya vyema sana ..pia wale wadogo like 20-150acres lakini unapata mtu ana ekari elfu mia moja (laki mzima mehn) na imelala tu.....am slowly amassing land myself quit my job started agric in Nax few year back and i cant complain at all....hope God Gets to judge this people

Relax, it is not in dollars. But consider the immense size of that land under the irrigation scheme: it is 1,3million acres, the dam, power, the water cannals, the machinery, the experts and farm hands to hire, the cost of the top grade seeds, ferilizers, pesticides, security, it is a very massive project.

Let us be honest, Raila probably won the 2007 elections, the evidence is just too compelling. In 2013, we cant be so sure.

But regarding his development record, I think he has little to show for. I do not also think that he can capably handle corruption.

KIBAKI was sworn in in the Dark

The ECK boss Kivuitu wasnt even sure he said mara Raila won 3hrs later he said Kibaki won!!....people were already celebrating Raila as president in Nairobi while on TV Kibaki was being Sworn in

1200 people died that year

Kivuitu Got so depressed 3 yrs later he was diagonised with Cancer

All the noises of Jubilee being corrupt is baseless since almost all the counties ODM leads are the most corrupt and also most filthy eg Mombasa n Nairobi...if he couldnt put order in his small house ow will be accountable to the whole country...

I hope that would serve as a lesson to the current IEBC commissioners. They must ensure that the elections are as free and transparent as possible to avoid plunging this country into the yet another 2007- like bloodbath; this time round it would be worse, a full blown civil war cannot be ruled out.

It doesnt matter who wins, for both candidates are alike in many ways in terms of their policies and aspirations for this country- not to mention their foibles.

A very transparent elections would make it hard for the supporters of the defeated candidates to resort to violence.

It is the percieved dishonesty in the whole elections process that really drives pipo into violence, not the fact that their preferred candidate has lost.

Now, that is one of the reasons I do not support Raila, his glaring hipocracy.

He castigates the Jubilee for corruption and mismanagement, vowing to "Magufuli" the corrupt in govt, yet he has never even once condemned the endemic corruption amongst his lieutenants in public positions. Not once, has he publicly exhorted them to desist from engaging in corruption.

The corruption in the Raila govt would make the Kenyatta one seem like chicken feeds in comparison.

Rao have never condemd this vices in public even after the Govt auditor year after year mention this counties..he wont even dare touch Joho wt drugs scandal...Jubilee n Nasa are just selfish gangs to loot Kenyans...doubt if any has serious plan to work on thier manifetos...that why whoever win wont even remember the promises they are giving now

And the bad guys would, realixed this and stopped having any political dealings with him looong time ago.

It was a dastardly biznes deal btwn the two men that had gone bad, my friend.

Raila is just as rotten as all the other politicians u always condemn so bitterly for their corruption, mismanagement and ineptitude.

Kenya under Raila will be just as corrupt, if not more. And he has no good development record and poverty allievation initiatives in his former constituency. He talks grand, but action zilch.

In fact, nearly all of his co- principles have no good development records to show for in their comstituences where they had served for several years as mps. And all of them have been linked to atleast one graft scandal
