Takeover was childish....You do it. I used to fcuk with it before, cos the OGs I was looking up to was fcukin' with it, and I couldn't comprehend what was really being talked about in it. A playground diss. Nas sounded calm on ether, Jay as always, sounded like a comic, a clown. The whole thing started with Nas dissing Memphis Bleek who's the worst rapper of all time. Jay had to step in and got bodied by ether.
Nas made ether a verb .... "You got ethered bruh!" Back in the days that was a term.
You can't say "You got taken-over" That's lame.(street-wise).
All Jay did was trying to dodge the fact that he was biting Nas' style, saying he made a "hot" song out of Nas' line ... are you serious?

Most people calling Dan Cooper stupid for giving his opinion and backing them up, are like Democrats/Liberals, they don't want to reason and just base their arguments on name calling and/or demeaning others who have different point of view to theirs, he's already said, he's ready to hear your points(so am i), don't go search blogs on other peoples' opinions on the matter and bring them up here. Nobody has denied the greatness of Nas, just bring your facts as to why you think Ether is lyrically better than Takeover and vice-versa, or just shut your mouth and let others contribute to the thread.
Nothing is frustrating than debating with Tanzanians who happen to like rap/hip-hop. Most of these cats can neither defend their opinions, nor call out the bluff on yours, but they still demand you agree with them.
I said, and I'll say it once again; I can break it down my POVs how ether is trash, if anyone can prove they have an independent and functioning mind for this kind of debate. I can't respect or waste my energy on ones who come at me with so and so said so about so, and that's that.

That's a fact son. Nas' Ether was almost trash. Lotta sh!t in there don't check, don't reason, and he contradicted himself one too many times. I can have this discussion with anyone, long as they block their emotions and open their minds.
