Riots over unused 'IEBC materials' found in University

A vehicle was torched and the Thika highway blocked on Friday evening as Kenyatta University students went on the rampage claiming unused election materials had been found at the campus.

The materials, which bore resemblance to official Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) materials were found at the Kenyatta University Business Centre.They included unmarked ballot papers for the presidential race, unused ballot boxes, rubber stamps and marker pens.

Ballot papers for Nairobi's governorship and women representative contests were also discoveredThe Nation could not independently verify the authenticity of the materials.

The explanation of Mr. Isaack is that these were election materials used in the mock election. Then he realized he had messed up with that answer coz he was told that the ballot papers for the mock elections didn't have the names n pictures of the contestants.

Then the next question by the students was, how could such an important exercise be carried out at the Campus n nobody knew about it or saw nothing?

Yes the IEBC is shady!

A lot of things are not adding up with these IEBC guys. They are now becoming a public embarassment
maana hizi seketa sasa ni too much. Hamna mtu mwenye explanation ya kueleweka as to why these
materials were found at Kenyatta University?

I got some pictures I will post later maana sasa nipo kazini na nina-restricted access ya mtandao. Huu
ushindi wa Uhuru Kenyatta was guaranteed lakini with things like these Raila anapata ubavu wa kusema
kua hakutendewa haki na hawa jamaa wa IEBC. Why couldnt they just do this thing right and get it
over with?...kero tupu sasa!

Hon Ababu Namwamba Addressing the media inside room 014 at the Kenyatta University Students Business Center moments ago. There are election materials all over the place, including blank and used presidential ballot papers.

Try and look at this whole conundrum of things as IEBC's inability to carry out an election according to the
set rules by the election laws and by extent violating the constitution.

Its not about rigging as you state and if God forbid it is, then the courts will decide that.
