United state of Tanzania# Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania we love each other we are one people

Yes an equivalent of more than $300 mln! By August the construction company will be officially announced though our electrical SGR doesnt need even Stieglers Gorge Power Project to operate. The power needed is to small n Kinyerezi part II to be inaugurated in September is pretty enough. The Stieglers Gorge HEP Project is mainly for industrialization purpose.

How is the sgr powerline connected with grid to avoid breakdown?

Sgr cannot afford any down time. It should have several backup measures to mitigate potential risk.

There r a number of grid connection projects current underway aside the fact the section from Dar to Dodoma is connected by a pretty new central grid plus power back ups. Mind u Our Main Source Of Energy Is Located Within Southern central highlands of Tanzania.

The map below is from 2014 n a lot has changed ever since including the East African power pool current U/C n the 524km Mtwara-Dar pipeline that supplies to most of our gas to electrical power generators in Dar the Kinyerezi plants. To be fair power supply is a non issue to us as the power to run electrical SGR is there even now n at a close proximity considering where central rail passes.
