Ukichunguza kwa undani sana, utagundua kwamba miradi mingi ya Kenya " are poorly planned". Nchi yote inaendeshwa kwa mihemko ya kisiasa na kutafuta sifa.
Political projects sio Economic projects..
Uhuru bado ako na machungu baada ya Museveni kumpea block kwa SGR extension sasa ana kurupuka tu huku wachina wakiendelea kuitafuna SGR kwa tickets!

Kenya sasa ina Locomotives 57, Zote za diesel..Design yenyewe ya reli haina facility ya overhead power lines, Kwa sasa double stack boggies zishanunuliwa na hizo haziwezi fanya kwa electrified rail..Yaani hii ni kuchanganyikiwa proper.
Naomba sana waweke umeme, after 2 weeks watoe kama tu vile KQ flights za newyork wamefanya..Afadhali hata mbuzi kwa akili!

Axle load ya Tz SGR ni 35 tons, That Rail can carry 1.5 more than a kenya SGR rail.
The problem with kenya's Rail is not even the axle load but the Pulling power of the locamotives..its capped at 3000 horsepower while electric localmotives go upto 10000 horsepower.
Tz Sgr will pull more and heavier boggies. No need to stack, huo ni ushamba

I think you live in some cave. Tz SGR is now at 30% completion. The locomotives are probably coming from Japan(Hitachi) and ABB(Germany) will electrify the Rail.
We are talking top noch technology here not chinese copies.

Are you saying it's not possible to have electrified double stack on the Kenyan SGR or are you saying its not possible at all?

No, The Cable height for elecrifying a locomotive is standard, once you double stack it means you also play with the height..not possible..or too much complications especialy on areas that require railway switch.
Never seen a working double stack that is electric
