American real estate tycoon and President of the United states Donald Trump has indicated an interest to invest in the multi billion shilling Nairobi Golf City development.
Trump who has several golf properties around the world is among 43 other interested parties; including TPS Serena, Commercial Bank of Africa, Spencon International, Premiere Flour Mills and Associated Motors.
The proposed Nairobi Golf City will be located on two properties belonging to Kenya Railways and the Kenya Railways Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme; The Railway Golf Club on the east of Haile Selassie Avenue measuring 63 acres and The Railway Club on the west of Haile Selassie Avenue and bordering Uhuru Park.

He is not there legally, that is why Kenya railways has never allowed him to put up any permanent structure.

Imagine all this prime land was sitting idle yet its less than 100m from the CBD and about 600m from upperhill. 118 Hactares of KRC land was basically just a scrapyard right next to the CBD. If you look closely you will realize the Project area is bigger than the current CBD!

Isn't the green space across the highway next to the Israeli Consulate and the British Council in Upper Hill the Railways Golf Course? On the opposite side of the road next to Uhuru Park is the Railways Sports Club. S what will be the fate of the likes like the Technical University of Kenya and The bus stand that serves Easy Coach and Guardian? Will the new city reclaim also markiti and the area behind muthurwa? For me, the first thing I would like to be removed that area is those train wagons and coaches. There is a heavily guarded facility just next to the British Council with barricades on the road. Anyway, I was more curious about the status of the Railway Sports Club and Golf Course.
