Imagine all this prime land was sitting idle yet its less than 100m from the CBD and about 600m from upperhill. 118 Hactares of KRC land was basically just a scrapyard right next to the CBD. If you look closely you will realize the Project area is bigger than the current CBD!Finally the railways land has been given attention. That place has been an eyesore in the CBD.
Isn't the green space across the highway next to the Israeli Consulate and the British Council in Upper Hill the Railways Golf Course? On the opposite side of the road next to Uhuru Park is the Railways Sports Club. S what will be the fate of the likes like the Technical University of Kenya and The bus stand that serves Easy Coach and Guardian? Will the new city reclaim also markiti and the area behind muthurwa? For me, the first thing I would like to be removed that area is those train wagons and coaches.
