Moscow will deal with the “Ukrainian bandits” who tried to destabilize the region, the Russian president said

Ukraine’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region has failed to achieve its intended goal of halting the advance of Moscow’s forces in Donbass, President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.

He stated that Russia has been making great strides in key areas of Donbass, advancing at a pace that has not been seen in a “long time.”

“The Russian armed forces are taking control of territories not by 200, 300 meters at a time, but by square kilometers,” Putin said.

Mass attack carried out on energy facilities in Ukraine – Russian MOD

Military sites where aircraft and missiles are produced and repaired have also been struck, the ministry in Moscow reported

Russia’s Armed Forces have carried out a massive strike on a number of targets across Ukraine, including energy and defense-industry facilities, the Defense Ministry in Moscow reported on Monday.

In a regular update posted on its Telegram channel, the ministry stated that the facilities were destroyed using long-range high-precision weaponry as well as kamikaze drones. The targeted buildings were being used for the production and repair of aircraft and missile weapons, Moscow said.

The Russian military also targeted UAV assembly and storage sites as well as temporary deployment points for “nationalist formations and foreign mercenaries,” the ministry reported, stating that all designated facilities had been hit.

In addition, the ministry stated that Russian forces had struck, using tactical aviation, drones, missiles and artillery, various concentrations of enemy forces and military equipment in 143 districts.

Ukraine-Russia war: Vladimir Putin arrives in Mongolia with no fear of war crimes arrest​


Vladimir Putin has arrived in Mongolia on his first visit to a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC) since it issued a warrant for his arrest nearly 18 months ago on charges of war crimes in Ukraine.

The Russian president is due to meet Mongolian leader Ukhnaa Khurelsukh on Tuesday.


Ukraine wants Mongolia to arrest Mr Putin and hand him over to the court in The Hague, but the Kremlin said last week it was not worried about the visit.

Putin says Russia advancing fast in eastern Ukraine​



MOSCOW, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Russian forces are
advancing faster in eastern Ukraine than they have done for a long time, taking several square kilometres per day, President Vladimir Putin said on Monday as Moscow's forces tried to smash through a Ukrainian defensive line.


Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy acknowledged the difficulties in the east, particularly near the city of Pokrovsk.
