Ukraine has lost around 11,400 troops since it launched an incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region last month, the Defense Ministry in Moscow said on Monday.

The Russian military has also destroyed over 1,000 units of Ukrainian military hardware, including 89 tanks, 42 infantry fighting vehicles, 74 armored personnel carriers, 635 armored combat vehicles, 371 cars, 85 artillery pieces, and 24 multiple rocket launchers, seven of which were US-made HIMARS systems, the ministry claimed in its latest daily update.

In the course of the last 24 hours alone, Ukraine has lost up to 240 servicemen and 13 units of hardware, the ministry estimated.

Russia's Military Totally Decimate Major Ukrainian Command Post

The command post was reportedly tasked with deploying Ukrainian personnel and equipment to fortified areas in the settlements of Kupyansk, Petropavlovka, Kucherovka, Podolye, and Kurilovka.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense (MoD) has released a video of Russian forces destroying the Ukrainian army's command post near the village of Grushevka in the Kharkov region.
After the command post was spotted by Russian reconnaissance units, "a decision was made to carry out an airstrike on it using an FAB aerial bomb fitted with a universal gliding and correction module," the MoD said in a statement.

The strike occurred once peak concentration of servicemen at the command post was attained, according to the statement. As a result, at least 80 Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated along with eight enemy vehicles that were obliterated, the MoD added.

After F-16 crash, West debates rushed training for Ukrainian pilots, WSJ reports

One of the American officials claimed that a Russian missile exploded near the F-16 shortly before it disappeared from radar, which could have either damaged the jet or forced the pilot to maneuver too low over the ground, leading to the crash.

The training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16s has been happening at an accelerated pace. Ukraine's pilot training program is ongoing, but "the crash shows what happens when you try to rush things," an unnamed senior defense official told the WSJ.

Western officials are now discussing Ukraine's decision to use the jets on the battlefield weeks after the arrival of the first batch, sending pilots who have had limited flying hours in the U.S. aircraft on combat missions, the WSJ reported
