Russian troops have reached the outskirts of the Ukrainian city of Toretsk - an anchor of Kyiv's defences in the Donetsk region. The city's capture could bring closer the prospect of Moscow securing the entire Donbas.
 
Ukraine Loses Over 200 Soldiers in Kursk Region in Past Day - MoD, 08.10.2024

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Ukrainian armed forces have lost over 200 soldiers, three armored fighting vehicles, as well as four artillery pieces and two mortars over the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
"Over the day, Ukraine's casualties amounted to more than 200 servicepeople, three armored fighting vehicles were destroyed, as well as four artillery pieces, two mortars and three vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.
Overall, Kiev lost over 21,250 soldiers and 136 tanks since the Ukrainian troops entered the Kursk Region, the ministry added.
 
The fire at the oil depot in the temporarily occupied Feodosia has expanded to 1,000 square meters, according to the Russian BBC News service.

Three out of five damaged tanks are still burning.n
 
Ukraine reports today that it has already expanded weapons production and can now produce four million drones per year, says Zelensky. Ukraine expands weapons production and manages to produce armored vehicles, ammunition and large quantities of Drones. The European Union will continue to help both with factories and raw materials.

Some 3,000 Ukrainian troops may be trapped near Seversk in DPR — expert

MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/. Russian troops have started to entrap Ukrainian forces stationed in Seversk in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), with roughly 3,000 enemy soldiers expected to be encircled, Andrey Marochko, a military analyst reported.

Earlier, Marochko told TASS that having broken the Ukrainian defense line near Kremennaya in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), the Russian army launched an operation aimed at liberating Serebryanka and Grigorovka near Seversk in the neighboring DPR.

"We have recently received information that we broke the line of defense and approached Serebryanka and Grigorovka, so it could be said that the fight for these settlements has already started. By my count, roughly 3,000 Ukrainian militants may well find themselves in a very unfortunate position," he told Komsomolskaya Pravda radio.

Liberation of western DPR could collapse Ukraine’s defenses up to Dnieper River — advise

DONETSK, October 8. /TASS/. The liberation of the western part of the Donetsk People's Republic, which includes the strategically important regional center in Krasnoarmeysk, will make things very difficult for Ukrainian troops in the Zaporozhye Region, adviser to the DPR head Igor Kimakovsky said.

"If we liberate this agglomeration, there will be serious pressure on the Zaporozhye line. It could collapse all the way to the Dnieper River," the adviser said.

He added that he was speaking about the agglomeration in the west of the DPR’s administrative border with the Zaporozhye Region. The agglomeration includes Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk), Dimitrov (Mirnograd), and Selidovo.

According to Kimakovsky, Russian forces have almost encircled Kurakhovka and Selidovo. He pointed out that the enemy had already started pulling troops out of Kurakhovka.

Russia hammers Ukrainian military airfields by Kinzhal hypersonic missiles

MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/. Russian forces delivered a strike by Kinzhal hypersonic missiles at Ukrainian military airfield infrastructure over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday.

"Yesterday, the Russian Armed Forces delivered a multiple strike by Kinzhal air-launched hypersonic ballistic missiles at Ukrainian military airfield infrastructure. The goals of the strike were achieved. All the designated targets were hit," the ministry said in a statement.

Najua umeuliza kama dhihaka,lakini nitachukua nafasi hii kukufahamisha vile Nina yofahamu Mimi.
Kwa kifupi sio Urusi wanaojua idadi kamili ya wanajeshi wa Ukraine walioingia kirahisi katika mkoa wa kursk kwa sababu mkoa huo haukua na ulinzi mkubwa.
Na kutokua na ulinzi mkubwa ni aina ya dharau na kujiamini kwa Urusi.
Dharau na kujiamini ni kutokana na kufikiri kua Ukraine itatumia muda wake na nguvu zake kubwa kupambana kukomboa maeneo yake yaliyochukuliwa na Urusi.
Hivyo Urusi hawakufikiria kama ukraine wanaweza kuingia kwenye mkoa wa Urusi na kuutumia kwa ajili ya kuweka shinikizo kwenye mazungumzo ikiwa mazungumzo ya amani yatakapohitajika.
