According to The Associated Press, Kurt Volker, the former U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine during Donald Trump’s first term, anticipates that Trump will urge Vladimir Putin to end military operations, warning that failure to comply will result in significantly increased pressure on Moscow.

Should Putin refuse to halt hostilities, Volker predicts Trump will "open the floodgates," enabling Ukraine to secure unlimited loans and purchase any military equipment it needs, while also imposing stricter sanctions on Russia’s oil and gas sector.

German Major General Carsten Breuer, Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, has warned about the growing military threat from Russia.

He stated that the Russian army is focused on the West and could potentially launch an attack on NATO territory within the next 5-8 years. This assessment is based on his analysis, intelligence reports, and statements from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Breuer emphasized that Russia is producing 1,000 to 1,500 additional tanks annually, while the combined arsenal of the five largest European NATO countries accounts for only half of that number.

He highlighted the need for the Bundeswehr to prepare for a potential aggression scenario within the next five years to ensure effective deterrence.

Month by month, the Russian military was acquiring more tanks, more ammunition, more missiles and more drones.

Production is growing, the supplies in the depots are growing.”
