Russian Iskander ballistic missiles have struck a training center in the Ukrainian city of Poltava.

The School of Military Communications and Information Technology on the north side of Poltava was home to the 179th Training Center of Ukrainian signalmen, including radar and strike drone operators. It was destroyed by two missiles on Tuesday morning, local authorities have said.
 
Rumors circulating on Russian social media have alleged the presence of NATO instructors at the school, including some from Sweden.

Poltava is the site of the 1709 battle in which the Russian Army under Peter the Great decisively defeated Swedish invaders under King Charles XII. The Swedes were aided by Cossacks of Ivan Mazepa, who is revered as a hero in modern Ukraine but has long been considered a traitor in Russia.

Russia’s Defense Ministry shared a video on Tuesday purporting to show the destruction of a Czech-made Vampire Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) used by Ukrainian forces near the Russian border.

According to the ministry, the Western-built MLRS was discovered moving and firing on Russian positions by servicemen of the ‘North’ group of forces during reconnaissance activities in Sumy Region. This is the region from which Ukraine launched its major Kursk incursion into Russia last month.

DONETSK, September 3. /TASS/. The Ukrainian troops who were holding positions north of Krasnogorovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) are trying to get out of the encirclement, sources have told TASS.

"The current situation has forced Ukrainian servicemen between Krasnogorovka and Nevelskoye to abandon their positions. The enemy is trying to get out. It is actually encircled," the source said.

He added that the Ukrainian soldiers were trying to escape in small groups and sustaining heavy losses.

Ukraine says soldiers among 51 killed in Poltava missile attack​


At least 51 people have been killed and more than 200 others injured in a Russian missile strike on the city of Poltava, in central Ukraine.


A military communications institute and a nearby hospital were hit. Ukraine's land forces confirmed that military personnel were killed in the attack.


Earlier reports from Russian military bloggers had suggested that cadets were gathered at a military parade being held at the institute.

Russian missiles strike Ukrainian military academy, killing more than 50​


Two Russian ballistic missiles struck a military academy and nearby hospital in the central Ukrainian city of Poltava on Tuesday, killing at least 51 people and wounding more than 200.

Russian Missile Hits in Poltava Wipe-Out 700+ Troops/Mercs/NATO Advisors


A missile strike by Russia against a target in Ukraine has wiped-out 700 Ukrainian military troops, Western-provided Mercenaries, and NATO Military Advisors, in what many are saying is the single most deadly attack of the almost 3 year war.
The photo above, taken well before the attack, shows many of those now dead from the attack.
The Russian army attacked the training center for specialists in the field of communications and electronic warfare of the Ukrainian Armed Forces taught by NATO tutors in Poltava.
Russia hit the training building first, then about ten minutes later, hit the nearby cafeteria. The one-two punch devastated Ukraine and its NATO Advisors, most of whom were from Sweden!
Western media outlets are reporting this strike, and downplaying the death/injury toll to "50."
Ukraine is trying to claim the structure that was hit was a "Hospital" but no one believes Ukrainian propaganda anymore.
One thing is undisputed: This was, perhaps, the single most deadly attack in the entire 3 year conflict.
NATO and Western Mercenaries were hit ferociously hard. It's what happens when you're on the wrong side.
UPDATE:
NOW BEING TOLD 190 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers killed and more than 600 wounded as a result of an Iskander strike in Poltava, Ukrainian media is reporting.
