There is no contract signed as of now, everyone working at SGR is a temp, that's what the law will see it, until the time the Chinese sign commercial contract, they cannot be held responsible or liable for any eventuality that happens, it is KR that will be liable in a court of law

Are u sure its $11 M daily. These are the reasons why its not true. €11 per barrel when price of oil per barrel is less than €50 is outrageous. Remember Uganda will earn more than T.Z for obvious reasons. Total should earn more than Uganda (They are not only producing, they are building pipeline with their money.)
Finally Kuna mahali umetudaganya. Hesabu yangu inaonyesha mtatengeneza €2.3 M na sio €11 M per day. Angalia hapa assuming your data is accurate. €11 per barrel * 216, 000 barrels = €2,376, 000. Nimetumia data yako kuonesha kwamba Wewe ni muongo.
It's 12.2 € per barrel! Muache wivu nyie mnapata nn? Halafu the number of barrels per day will double if DRC, Burundi n South Sudan will join. DRC already penned down agreement.

Uganda says agrees terms with consortium to build oil refinery

KAMPALA, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Uganda said on Monday it had agreed preliminary terms with a consortium of investors including General Electric to build and operate the country's first oil refinery, reviving a much-delayed project.

Government geologists estimate Uganda's oil reserves at 6.5 billion barrels, of which 1.4-1.7 billion are considered recoverable.

The oil is due to start flowing in 2020 and the government is keen to build a refinery to process it and retain a larger slice of profits.

Uganda suffered a setback last year in its efforts to secure a lead investor for a refinery project then estimated at $2.5 billion, after talks with Russia's RT Global Resources broke down.

Subsequent negotiations with a consortium led by South Korea's SK Engineering also collapsed.

On Monday the ministry of energy and mineral development said "core project terms" had been agreed with the Albertine Graben Refinery Consortium (AGRC), whose other members include India's Yatra Ventures LLC, and Italy's Saipem SpA .

"The consortium has proposed ... a financing approach and a path to establish, develop and operate a commercially viable refinery," the ministry said in a statement.

A project framework agreement was expected to be signed within two months, it said.

Energy and Minerals Development Minister Irene Muloni said in November that France's Total, one of three oil explorers operating in the country, wanted to take up a 10 percent stake in the refinery project.

Kenya and Tanzania have committed to stakes of 2.5 percent and 8 percent respectively, Muloni said at the time.

Commercially viable hydrocarbon deposits were discovered in 2006, but production has been slowed by tax disputes and disagreements over development strategy.

Ndiyo ambayo tutakuwa tunapata bomba likikamilika. Teh teh teh

How many families will have to abandon their homes where they buried their grandparents' parents?, how many trees will have to be cut down to give way to the pipeline? And who would finance the planting of new trees somewhere else to balance out the ones that were cut down? What would be the financial cost in terms of interfering with wildlife- remember the pipeline will be heated, its very long and wide, that heat will probably be significant enough to be felt in the nearby surroundings, ..... Someone has to account and calculate all of that abd put a figure on it $$$$$ , And since the Oil is Uganda's, pipeline Totals , but the land is yours, clean terrains, safe lands --- obviously they should pay you a big compensation for all that, then after the construction is done you then start talking about transtit fees
The tectonic plate is shifting in EA trade influence towards Tanzania. The good thing is, we can afford to charge other countries lowest fees because we've eliminate all speculators away from the business dealing. Angalia jinsi people in Kenya rushed to grub land in north and Lamu area when they heard that Uganda was planning to build oil pipeline through Kenya. Tanzania represents the lowest environmental footprint, most places where the pipe will pass are flat terrain and uninhabited, meaning Uganda will be able to export her oil sooner than if they could've done through Kenya. Your telling us to charge more while we know there more business to come it doesn't make sense.

jameni pesa ni za watz....tuwache mahesabu ambazo hazitatusaidia
