The tectonic plate is shifting in EA trade influence towards Tanzania. The good thing is, we can afford to charge other countries lowest fees because we've eliminate all speculators away from the business dealing. Angalia jinsi people in Kenya rushed to grub land in north and Lamu area when they heard that Uganda was planning to build oil pipeline through Kenya. Tanzania represents the lowest environmental footprint, most places where the pipe will pass are flat terrain and uninhabited, meaning Uganda will be able to export her oil sooner than if they could've done through Kenya. How many families will have to abandon their homes where they buried their grandparents' parents?, how many trees will have to be cut down to give way to the pipeline? And who would finance the planting of new trees somewhere else to balance out the ones that were cut down? What would be the financial cost in terms of interfering with wildlife- remember the pipeline will be heated, its very long and wide, that heat will probably be significant enough to be felt in the nearby surroundings, ..... Someone has to account and calculate all of that abd put a figure on it $$$$$ , And since the Oil is Uganda's, pipeline Totals , but the land is yours, clean terrains, safe lands --- obviously they should pay you a big compensation for all that, then after the construction is done you then start talking about transtit fees
