So I tend to wonder, if these statistics are actually true, just how many tiny slums are there in Tz to add up to 8m ppl?

2.5m pipo cant possibly fit within 2.5km2. It's simple commonsense. It has 250k ppl. Look at how crowded Mombasa is, with only 1.5m pipo within 450km2.

Leme give a proper definition of a slum.

It must be characterised by all of the following.
1. Poor sanitary system.
2. Poor property ownership documentation.
3. Poor physical planning.
4. Poor quality of building fabrics.
5. A level cross sectional value of the properties across the area. Normally the values are at lower side.
6. High crime rate.
7. Delapilated or physically depreciated buildings.
