The Kenyan Shilling getting stronger

The Kenyan Shilling getting stronger

Ndii is a great intellectual but he is usually very biased so much. He is a big critic of the Jubilee Govt just like me, but i find him too -ve. He cannot be classified as a neutral Economist.

The institution that could give us very accurate data is the "kenya bureau of statistics", the problem is if they would be transparent enough. IMF may be transparent and open but they release data with hidden agendas plus their sources may not be as accurate as KNBS.
I am not vouching for NDII. He has his style of delivery which rubs many the wrong way..But he certainlty speaks with data..Credible data from WB/IMF or KNBS.
What Aly khan Sachu is doing here is enganging in nonesence, if he was serious, he could have asked IMF to give him the methodology and data points of determining the 17.5% over valuation..Then debate the correctness of the methodogy and point out the mistakes..
Saying IMF is "absurd and alarmist" is not how economist critic data. That is the theater of laymen

"absurd and alarmist" are not the methods of criticizing data, but it's a conclusion made after comparing with other data sources and the situation on the ground. In Economics there is politics and interests. Sometimes they paint the situation as too bleak .

Comparing what data? The Guy just threw some figures aroud but never explained why the figure is 17.5 and not say 7.5%..
How did IMF arrive at 17.5% (methodology) and why 17.5 not Zero(data points) ?
That is how to critic Economic data..
Infact his conclusion that "IMF is absurd and Alarmist" betrays who are his target audience..Laymen who know nothing about economics.. Remember in the 1990's Moi would steal from government coffers then Blame and shame IMF for not allowing loans...And ofcourse we would all curse IMF and call them racists..Infact, Robert Ouko (finance minister) was killed in 1990 because of speaking to Moi the truth about IMF policy instead of being a good psycophant and towing the Moi predetermined Narrative

Mkikuyu- Akili timamu cherry picks the economists/organizations he agrees with. And even then, only the parts of their analysis he agrees with.
Ndii is his favorite because they share the anti-jubilee politics. And IMF when they release a -ve report here and there.

This 'mkikuyu' is more obsessed with Jubilee than any Kenyan I've encountered on this forum. Here barely goes 3 replies without mentioning Jubilee.
Very shallow.

Without trying to be political, it would be stupid to take the word of someone who was in charge of writing Nasa manifesto on such matters.
Just like lawyers, Ndii and other economists with an agenda, interpret data to mean what they want.

I saw one of his tweet where he went on a long rant spelling doom for Kenya because it was growing at a SLOW 6.2% and not a RAPID 6.9% like Tanzania.

That cherry picking and being very pessimistic is what makes me take Ndii's word with a pinch of salt.Plus the guy was a NASA stratergist, what do you expect. He never has good words for anything positive in the country.I don't expect him to be a jubilee propaganda parrot, but he has to be a honest intellectual at least. Say things as they are, whether good or bad.

"Mkikuyu" is a Kenyan educated Tanzanian i guess, he is allowed to be a certified hater.

I think agreeing to disagree with any opinion from any entity is the hallmark of true education. What irks me is when anyone takes the higher ground, above everyone be it in moral, educational or even political discourse. In that aspect David Ndii has completely lost it. Any layman can argue that he has failed in his duty as a strategist to NASA, because all his strategies hit a brink wall. Its a wonder that he is still pushing a useless agenda for a party that is now defucant, very dead, deep in the waters.

Boss, I cannot hold brief for the MOST corrupt and incompetent government since independence.
There is No government that has stolen money like Jubilee and There is No government that has wasted money and put the country in debt like Jubilee..
Those are the FACTS and can be proven with Data.
That is the difference btwn you and me, you love and defend theives, I expose and shame thieves.. That is our Moral Barrier

That is why there is this Great saying.."Stick to your Lane" You cant argue with a doctor matters about surgery..Neither should you argue economic data with an economist.
And By the way, Looking at the data, David ndii Njoroge CBK and Rotich agree..
1) The country is in debt distress
2)Such stupidity as credit rate cap law is stupid
3)B.O.T that ndii had proposed for SGR was the right thing to do..And Guess what, Kenya is now seriously considering a concessional SGR deal and transfer it to china under B.O.T
There so many other things I can list here, the common thing is they are usin g the same data.."Great Minds think alike"

Wewe ndio unacatch mafeelings mzee. Concentrate on Tz's economic woes, begin there, on how to disengage themselves from their LDC status, poverty in comparison to their potential, politics of the cold war era. Instead of always trying to swallow the dictators antics borrowed from a very cheap movie. Boss no Kenyan buys that crap.

This is some strange shit.

A new railway is nothing but a loss and survives on government's will.

National debt is skyrocketing.

And then Kenyan shilling is getting stronger?

That abnormal chromosome is from bongo. It's schooled in Kenya and residing in Kenya that's why it knows a lot'bout Kenya
Reseach fupi ndio ifanya kwa week. Wewe jamaa utakuwa jobless. Cam you argue on that. Kazi kulandalanda kwenye kila comment ya mtu. Sio bule. Lol!!

Hahaha! [emoji1] I see you cringed when I mentioned your favourite dictator Yohana. So you think your useless personal ranting is being broadcast live all over Kenya and people actually give a rat's ass? [emoji15] What are you smoking mzee? The truth of the matter is that the dictator and the country you are trying to put over Kenya is behind in all fronts, political, economic, social even in the simplest things like sports that you mentioned. Try using Ethiopia as comparison atleast. Usiturudishe kwenye ligi ndogo tafadhali.

Mkikuyu akili maandas, the exchange rate of the tzsh to the dollar right this minute is 1$- 2290tzshs! A currency which used to be 1KES- 10tzshs a few years back is now 1KES- 23! Badala ya kuuza sura humu kama instagram na kuenda off topic jaribu kutupia longo longo zako kuhusu hii hela ya madafu ambayo haisikii hata maombi.
