City's Fantom claims to be 'the world's first football smartband' and supporters can buy the sky blue device from Monday for £79.99.
The wristband informs fans on the countdown to kick-off, live match details and breaking news as well as giving them the chance to have their say and play quizzes.
The club released a video of fans wearing the bands and giving their thoughts on the new concept.
One fan said: 'It keeps you much closer to the club, you get instant news, stats and information about the club.'
Another added: 'It's here in an instant on your wrist, you don't have to get your phone out of your pocket.
While another supporter said: 'The best thing I've ever seen from Manchester City, brilliant.'
The introduction of the new technology has also created a reaction on social media.
One Twitter user wrote: 'They are so try hard it's not even funny anymore.'
While another added: '£80 for free news... what a joke.'
One Tweet read: 'Awful idea. Why not have updates through smart watch or an app? Creating another piece of tat for people to wear. What's the point?'
