Corruption takes away government revenues which accelerate the budget deficit, and as a result increased borrowing to finance the deficit. The result is higher interest rates which crowds out investment and impede economic growth. It is difficult to conclude about the effect of corruption on inflation, as the former is not reflected in market forces. However, it is obvious that higher inflation rates leads to corruption.

Hello everyone my swahili is not the best so i will speak in english. With regards to the property listed above people are complaining that the price of the property is too high. Well lets take a look we have a 3 bedroom property in upanga for 145 000 us dollars. FIrstly these properties have elevators gyms pools inside its decorated with a nice kitchen, aluminum windows, plaster of paris walls, granite counter tops, fully fitted brand new bathroom. Now you guys are telling me that that does not cost a minimum of 80 000 us dollars for the builder to build anywayz minimum. I mean this is upanga we are talking about. I have found many apartments being sold for 220 000. I think this is cheap. PLease can someone tell me where you can find a 3 bed with similar specs for cheaper. Has anyone seen the building site.

1. Poor or below standard services offered by goverment agency mfano:elimu, afya, maji, umeme, leseni, etc.
2. Poor roads and other related infrastructures ..vifaa vibovu kutumika, mzabuni feki, life time (span) ndogo kila miaka mitano barabara imeharibika
3. Increasing gap between have's and have not...

Mzee Mwanakijiji, of course corruption fuels inflation. Especially if and when the corrupt funds are sourced from the BoT's EPA account.

In order tha the Central Bank pay the Mafisadi, it only dished out the banknotes it had printed and gave them to the big shots who had rendered neither service nor surrendered any goods of their own. Thus this transaction only increased the money supply.

In other words, the billions of TShs given by the Mafisadi who plundered the BoT, to members of the public to purchase khangas, vitenge, T.Shirts, food and drinks, in order to vote for for ccm candidates, were all un-earned income, and they denied other honest wananchi who had worked to get their TShs the chance of procuring those goods. In other words they competed with them and so prices shot up increasing inflation.

JF should ask Governor, Prof. Benno Ndulu to confirm this. It is a pity that Tz may have to experience another bout of inflationary financing later this year when members of chama cha mafisadi re-engage in their craving for the lucrative public positions.

fikiria the same company akija bongo, atahitaji ulipe mara elfu moja ya bei hiyo. Ama kweli corruption is the real threat to our economic development.
