Ghadaffi live on Al Jazeera! Amekasirika sana.

  • "I am a fighter, a revolutionary from tents ... I will die as a martyr at the end,"
  • "Muammar Gaddafi is the leader of the revolution, I am not a president to step down ... This is my country. Muammar is not a president to leave his post."
  • "I have not yet ordered the use of force, not yet ordered one bullet to be fired ... when I do, everything will burn."
  • "You men and women who love Gaddafi ...get out of your homes and fill the streets."
  • "Leave your homes and attack them in their lairs ... Starting tomorrow the cordons will be lifted, go out and fight them."
  • "Peaceful protests is one thing, but armed rebellion is another".
  • "From tonight to tomorrow, all the young men should form local committees for popular security."
  • "The Libyan people and the popular revolution will control Libya."
Among the other points made by Gaddafi in his speech:
He called on the people to catch what he called drugged young people and bring them to justice.
He called on the people to "cleanse Libya house by house" unless protesters on the streets surrendered.
He warned that instability in Libya "will give al-Qaeda a base".
FireShot-capture-#006---'Al-Jazeera-English_-Live-Stream---Watch-Now---Al-Jazeera-English'---eng.jpg

He cited the examples of attack on Russian parliament and China's crushing of the 1989 Tiananmen Square uprising, saying that the international community did not interfere.
He said he could do the same in Derna and Bayda.

He offered a new constitution starting from Wednesday, but this would come with dialogue, not by collaboration with the enemy.

He blamed the uprising on Islamists who wanted to create another Afghanistan, and warned that those in Bayda and Derna had already set up an Islamic Emirate that would reach Benghazi.

He said that the country's youth was drugged and did not know anything; they were following the Islamists' leader and their leaders would be punished with death in accordance with the Libyan law.

BEIJING - China said Tuesday that it was very concerned about the current situation in Libya, vowing to protect its nationals and firms in the country.
"China hopes the country can restore social stability and political order as soon as possible," said Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ma Zhaoxu at a regular news briefing.

Since the unrest erupted in Libya on Feb 16, people have been attacked and there has been vandalism, looting and arson, said Ma, adding that Chinese firms had been attacked and Chinese nationals injured.

Latest reports said a construction site run by Huafeng Construction Co, Ltd. from China's Zhejiang Province was looted by a group of armed gangsters Sunday afternoon in the eastern city of Agedabia, and nearly 1,000 Chinese workers there were forced from their on site living quarters and had become homeless.

"The Chinese government attaches great importance to the situation and has instructed the Chinese Embassy in Libya to take every necessary measure to ensure the safety of the Chinese nationals and organizations in Libya," said Ma.

The spokesman said the Foreign Ministry had launched the emergency mechanism and lodged emergency representations with the Libyan side demanding an immediate probe into the attacks and punishment against the perpetrators.

Ma said the Chinese Embassy in Libya had established contact with all Chinese firms in Libya and was working with relevant departments at home to safeguard national interests and protect the safety of Chinese nationals and property.

On Monday, China's Ministry of Commerce urged Chinese businesses in Libya to pay increased attention to their security and suggested Chinese businessmen planning to visit Libya postpone their plans for the time being.

Fatwa issued on Kadhafi!

Top Sunni cleric says army should kill Kadhafi
Feb22,2011
Influential Muslim cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi issued a fatwa on Monday that any Libyan soldier who can shoot dead embattled leader Moamer Kadhafi should do so “to rid Libya of him.”

“Whoever in the Libyan army is able to shoot a bullet at Mr Kadhafi should do so,” Qaradawi, an Egyptian-born cleric who is usually based in Qatar, told Al-Jazeera television.

He also told Libyan soldiers “not to obey orders to strike at your own people,” and urged Libyan ambassadors around the world to dissociate themselves from Kadhafi’s regime.

Famous in the Middle East for his at times controversial fatwas, or religious edicts, the octogenarian Qaradawi has celebrity status in the Arab world thanks to his religious broadcasts on Al-Jazeera.

I hope they capture him alive and hang him and his sons live on National TV. This man is an animal, how many of his own people has he murdered?

Libya's protests: Your views

Hundreds of pro- democracy demonstrators in various Libyan cities are protesting against Gaddafi's 42-year old rule, despite heavy weapons and anti-aircraft missiles being used against them, and a high death toll. Gaddafi has vowed to use extreme force, calling on his supportersto take back the streets from protesters demanding his ouster. Do you think the international community should intervene to stop the bloody crackdown? What is next for Libya?

Hakuna nguvu yoyote duniani inayoweza ikaizuia AZMA YA NGUVU YA UMMA pindi wanapoamua kuchukua hatua!!!!

WikiLeaks Exposed Gadhafi Family Abuses
Clan's abuse of power helped fuel unrest

(Newser) – Libyans had plenty of reasons to despise Moammar Gadhafi and his clan long before the leader ordered the use of heavy artillery on protesters.

State Department cables released by WikiLeaks detail some of the Gadhafis' abuses of power, which are known to Libyans despite the regime's control of the media, and are helping fuel unrest, the New York Times reports.

The cables describe (1) power struggles between the leader's eight children, at least two of whom have been involved in crushing protests.

The clan and its scandals "provided local observers with enough dirt for a Libyan soap opera," US diplomats observed. (2) All the Gadhafi children appear to have received vast amounts of money from state oil firms, diplomats noted.

According to one cable, (3) Gadhafi's son Muatassim demanded $1.2 billion from the national oil corporation to establish his own militia, to keep up with his brother Khamis, head of a special forces group that "effectively serves as a regime protection unit."

(4) Gadhafi himself was described as a hypochondriac who feared flying over water.

One 2008 cable to Condoleezza Rice described him as (5) "self-styled intellectual and philosopher" who "has been eagerly anticipating for several years the opportunity to share with you his views on global affairs."

UJUMBE HUMU:

Wa-Tanzania tuwe tunayasoma haya tunayoyaandika hapa mtandaoni na TUCHUKUE HATUA ZA DHATI KUZUIA DALILI ZOZOTE ZA VIONGOZI KUTAMANI KURITHISHA UKUBWA WATOTO WAO NDANI YA NCHI YETU.

Desperate leader 'seeking to sow chaos'

getimage.aspx

By Rob Quinn, Newser Staff

Posted Feb 23, 2011 12:48 AM CST | Updated Feb 23,

(Newser) – Moammar Gadhafi has vowed to fight until his last drop of blood and he's apparently ready to spill Libya's last drop of oil in the process.

The Libyan leader has ordered security forces to sabotage the country's oil pipelines, according to former CIA field agent and Time columnist Robert Baer, who quotes a "well-placed source" close to the Gadhafi regime.

The dictator, the source says, would rather turn Libya into another Somalia than surrender power.

The sabotage is intended to send a message to rebellious Libyans that the only choice they have is between Gadhafi and complete chaos, according to the source, who also says the Libyan leader has ordered the release of all the Islamic militants in the country's prisons.

The source says Gadhafi has become "desperate and irrational" and can now only count on the loyalty of some 5,000 elite troops. The source hasn't, however, been 100% accurate.

The columnist notes that his source told him just 2 weeks ago that there was no chance of the uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia spreading to Libya.

Gene Sharp's how-to guide on non-violent revolution helped boot out Mubarak

By David Cairns
LAST UPDATED 11:58 AM, FEBRUARY 20, 2011 Share

An 83-year-old American whose writings on non-violent resistance to dictatorships have been used as a 'primer' by pro-democracy protesters in Cairo and other cities in recent days says he has been humbled to see his philosophy come alive on the streets.

The key, Gene Sharp told BBC Radio 4's Broadcasting House this morning, is to stop being afraid. "Dictators are never as strong as they tell you they are - they have weaknesses. And the people are never as weak as they think they are.

"Gandhi always emphasised you have to lose fear - and the Egyptians and Tunisians have demonstrated that that is possible."
However, he also warns that while overthrowing a dictatorship is possible, replacing it with an acceptable democratic process will take time.

"The fall of one regime does not bring in a utopia," he writes. "Rather it opens the way for hard work and long efforts to build more just social, economic and political relationships."

Sharp was first inspired to research brutal regimes - and peaceful ways of overthrowing them - by Albert Einstein, who noted the spread of totalitarianism in the 1950s.

Einstein wrote the foreword for Sharp's first book, Gandhi Wields the Weapon of Moral Power: Three Case Histories, in 1960. Later, Sharp set up the Albert Einstein Institution - a shoestring operation that exists to give advice to peaceful revolutionaries and foment non-violent rebellion.

While Sharp does have a philosophy - that totalitarian regimes share certain traits which make them vulnerable to peaceful protesters - his writings are resolutely practical.

Among other measures in his how-to guides for revolutionaries, he advocates "Lysistratic nonaction" - where women withhold sex from their husbands until their political demands are met.

Sharp told the Daily Beast last week that he hasn't been directly in touch with anyone in Egypt since the uprising began late last month. But he says he is happy to know that his ideas may have had some influence.

"I'm very pleased," he says. "I've been studying this question of dictatorships for many decades. It is a lonely struggle. To get this kind of recognition is very important."

This is not the first time Sharp's writings have produced action.

After he published From Dictatorship to Democracy: A Conceptual Framework for Liberation in 1993 a retired US army colonel introduced it to Serbian activists. Inspired, the young Serbs went on to topple Slobodan Milosevic in 2000.

The book has been translated into more than 30 languages – and is available for free on Sharp's website. So many copies of the Farsi version were downloaded during anti-government protests in Iran in 2009 that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's regime accused Sharp of being a US government stooge.

In fact, the Iranians aren't the only ones who have alleged Sharp is in the pay of the Gorvenment: Burma's ruling military junta and Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez have made similar claims.

Sharp dismisses the notion that he is working for the US to destabilise foreign governments as nonsense, pointing to the shabby state of the Albert Einstein Institution's offices as evidence.

The octogenarian academic with a pivotal role in world affairs told one interviewer: "We are very small and very poor."

UJUMBE HUMU:

Research Brutal Regimes and Peaceful Ways of Overthrowing Them, kabla ya kujitungia vitabu vyake vitokavyo na tafiti mbalimbali (1. Gandhi Wields the Weapon of Moral Power: Three Case Histories, in 1960. na 2. From Dictatorship to Democracy: A Conceptual Framework for Liberation in 1993) ambavyo hivi sasa matokeo yake imekuwa mwiba mchungu kwa serikali zote dhalimu, fisadi, yenye mikogo na kiburi na udikteta kwa watu wake.
