Maanake ni kwamba nchi za LDC zinaweza kuexport au kuimport kila kitu to and from EU countries bila kulipa tariffs zozote isipokuwa silaha. Yaani LDC countries zinapatiwa tariff-free and quota-free acess to the EU market. Lakini Kenya ilipokuwa middle income ilibidi tusign agreement mpya na EU ili bidhaa zetu ziendelee kuaccess EU market tariff-free and quota-free. Nyinyi TZ by the way you don't export alot of products to the EU kama sisi ndio maana hamjasign any trade agreement na EU licha ya nyinyi kuingia middle income status mwaka uliopita. Hamna haraka na kusign agreement mpya na EU kwa sababu hamfanyi biashara kwa wingi na EU. Sisi tungepoteza pesa nyingi sana kwa kulipia tariffs kwa wingi kama hatungesign hio agreement. Haya ni mambo ya kiuchumi tu na Kenya ilikuwa inaprotect interests zake na wala Kenya haikuwa na ubaya na Tanzania ilipotia saini agreement na EU.

tatizo si ukubwa bali ni modern infrastructure to allow timely evacuation of cargo! we have bitten u with ur Mombasa port as far as EACOP and we will beat u as far as transhipment hub is concerned just look at the distance btn Dar port and her ports while electrical SGR is in works! For now i will ignore u!Dude, Mombasa port ni kubwa na modern kuliko hio 'modernized Dar port' yenu na bado haina uwezo wa Lamu port kama potential transshipment hub. Kama hizo kampuni zenu za meli zinataka zibaki kua relevant basi nazo utaziona zikitua hapo Lamu kuchukua mizigo ya Dar.
Hebu niambie ni kampuni gani ya meli kubwa itakubali kucheleweshwa kwa siku tano pale Mombasa au siku saba pale Dar ikingojea msongamano wa meli ili ishukishe mizigo yake, Wakati wanaweza peleka mizigo hio pale Lamu na baada ya masaa manane mizigo yao yote ya Kenya na Tanzania imeshukishwa, meli hio kubwa ifate kwenda zake ituachie mizigo yetu tujisort wenyewe na meli ndogo ndogo zikitupelekea mizigo kwa kila bandari husika!???

Hio garama ya bei ya kutumia bandari yenu ni irrelevant kwa huu mjadala, Bei hio mtaamua wenyewe na mtajipanga nayo nyinyi na impoters wenu. Tunacho determine hapa ni mzigo huo utatumia njia gani kufika hapo bandarini kwenu na kama mko na control yoyote kuzulia mzigo wa Tz kupelekwa Lamu kwamza kabla kuletwa TZ!? You are completely correct but watakupinga. Their reasoning capacity is quite low. Don't expect much from these people.Ina lingana na nani anauliza, kuna costs tofauti zitazotokana na shipping..... kuna export tax na loading fee kutoka kwa port hadi kwa meli ambayo ni nchi husika inaamua, kuna the actual shipping fee ambayo Shipping lines ndo huamua bei ya usafirishaji kwa meli zao, kuna landing cost na import tax ambayo nchi yako ndo inaamua.... Hio garama yote itaskumiwa muagizaji bidhaa na yote itaitwa shipping cost.
Lakini tunachogusia hapa ni hii nauli ya kusafirisha bidhaa kupitia meli..... Kampuni tofauti za meli ziko na bei zake, yule shipping agent ndo ataamua kampuni gani ni cheaper au nzuri kusafirisha mzigo wako, lakini akishaamua hilo, hana nguvu ya kuchagua ni njia gani mzigo huo utafikishwa kule uendako. Agent akishalipa kampuni ya meli, wao wenyewe wanaamua jinsi gani watafikisha mzigo wako salama. Inawezekana hata meli ikakwama njiani na wakaamua kontena yako isafirishwe na helicopter hadi bandarini, hio si shida yako bora mzigo wako ufike salama salmin.
Shipping line wakiamua ni cheaper mzigo wa Tanzania kutoka Saudi Arabia uende hadi Durban port SA ndo urudi hadi TZ, nyinyi kama Watanzania hamna budi ila kukubali manake wamewarahishia uchukuzi na kupunguza garama ya shipping.
