This is why Millie Odhiambo cannot be arrested despite insulting Uhuru

This is why Millie Odhiambo cannot be arrested despite insulting Uhuru

..Ingekuwa Tz sipati Picha huyo mama angekuwa wapi sasa Iviiii!!!

Duh,
I thought president UK is presenting Kenya Image and so he should be treated with respect.
in tz the use of any abusive language to anyone is unlawful,
Huyo mama Kumtukana president wa nchi tena kwenye Bunge Tukufu ni kutoheshimu Serikali yake!
To me Hapo something is wrong.
If that is what you guys call Democracy, please leave us with our primitive dictatorship. We don't need such freedom.
You don't need such freedom NOT we don't

The media has a responsibility, don't just air everything for the sake of it. Whether it's the president insulting people or otherwise. For goodness sake, we have a society to run, we have families and children to hand over the country to, life doesn't revolve within and around hate and insults and politics.

Am giving you a task today, watch the news of every Kenyan station, you will notice the first six news items are all about violence, hate, anger etc. In fact we don't even need Alshabaab anymore, we seem to be doing ourselves more harm than what those guys would have inflicted on us. Any other good stuffs happening in the country are featured much much later in the news, same goes to print media, until you peruse deeper into the newspaper is only when you will see some item about an investor or anything good in the nation.

The media has chosen to blacklist good news in the country....

Personally I don't care about who insults who, for all I care you can call Uhuru names, or kuingiza Millie Odhiambo vidole in the precinct of parliament, or Uhuru insulting Raila, but I would rather some of these dirt are filtered when aired while am seated with my kids watching news.
Hapo hapo kwa kufilter ndio mwisho wa siku hautapata nafasi ya kuona hata The good news.

I think us "young East Africans" don't really see the pitfalls of what we are reaching out to. Young men and women in Ethiopia, Sudan and Eritrea next door are running away from their countries in their thousands not because of war but because they can't even think for themselves and we are busy asking the our governments to "filter" the news.
Besides, what guarantee do you have that the person doing the filtering doesn't have an ulterior agenda? Surely my "good/acceptable news" is not the same as yours....
As the youth lets not opt for the easy way out, democracy is hard to maintain, but when it doesn't suit us let's not ask for authoritarianism instead.
My two cents.

Whether she can be arrested or not, is neither here nor there. What should be debated is surely what has become of our society, that we have our children watching a full member of parliament spewing insults on a national TV like that in the name of 'bold woman' whatever that means. Whether it was directed at Uhuru or any other person for that matter. Our social fabric is torn into pieces.

I do enjoy the freedom of expression we have in our country, I personally participated in agitation for the same, back in the days when we rioted on the streets and got gassed up in the 90s. It wasn't for nothing, we are the best democracy today in the whole of East and Central Africa. But sometimes we take it way too far in the name of exercising it.

I would rather the media blacked out those insults, right now watching and reading through the social media, guys are insulting each other like crazy. Drums of war and hate all over.
It is such a big shame what MP's do in the name of politics and political grand standing.
They do despicable things that should be deplored by any civilised person.
What happened is wrong, very wrong.
Imagine; would this woman allow her children, neighbours or constituency to address her that way?
Can you imagine what would happen if a student adressed her teachers in such a manner?
Or if you pulled a stunt like that to your employer or co-workers?
What she did is not bold..it is stupid.

Ukimtukana president ni umetukana Jamhuri..

BTW, huku polisi akikuona unatukana hata kama unaemtukana haonekani u will be arrested na utashtakiwa na Jamhuri,
Kwaiyo huyo mama kisheria alitakiwa awe ametiwa nguvuni bila hata kushtakiwa maana amekiuka maadili na ametukana mamlaka ya nchi,
Don't wory, kuhusu Magufuli, he is a dictator indeed, and he will shape this country and take it to the highest.
We like him very much, hatuwezi kuwa na serikali ya viongizi wamejaa utoto na masihara vichwani.
God bless President JPM
... Unaposema 'we like'... Hiyo consultation ulifanya lini na wapi?

Safi mama mpe fact huyo uhuru

Uttering such uncouth statements, using vulgar language as hon Odhiambo did shows women nowadays have no respect for their in laws, parents, grand parents who can hardly stomach such insults by an educated lady. It would have been better for her parents if they had married her off immediately on her completion of lower primary education!!

She has behaved so because of the way our African leaders rule us! They (rulers) behave like Kings, who own people, people are subjects of a King, this is no longer acceptable! She has a cause in behaving so with sharp words!

Mkuu nakubaliana nawe 100% we are realy a bad show to our young ones. Its a sorry state of afairs. Regardless of our political affiliations we must see to it that we behave and set a good example to our generations to come. God bless kenya.
