My opinion is: Putin is a very intelligent and wiseman unlike bellicose Joe Biden who is determined to trigger WW3 he also gotta a strange perception that thermonuclear war is winnable - he thinks Almigty America can wipe out Russian Federation off the face of the Earth in millseconds and expect no massive retribution from them sleepy Communist Russians, how I wish Biden knew how formidable Russians really are.

We sound very naive when we pretend to know Russia better than USA does. Out of ignorance and ergo, Russia invaded Ukraine, a sovereign state, on feeble and flimsy reasons. The mission hasn't gone to the plan, as Ukrainians are fighting back with exemplary determination and enthusiasm.
Sensing the tables might turn, Putin has, on several occasions, made statements that indicate a possibility of Russia using nukes in the ongoing war. On the other hand, USA has continously ruled out a possibility of involving nukes in the war.
On a serious note, USA warned Russia that, if the latter uses nukes in the war, USA will not stand idly by, waving hands in the air in despair, but will take a swift action that is commensurate to the steps deployed by Russia.
